Awesome!
For decades I've struggled in and out of our canoe with a similar "stadium seat". Oh man, the added straps on this thing makes it sooo much easier to use and to get ones butt situated into. Wife loves hers too! Awesome added comfort. We'll done. No metal parts to corrode in salt water.

This is a quality product. Some folks complain that it blocks their view during portage. Mine is in the back so thats not a problem but the back is to tall for my liking. If you want to lay back and relax it would be an advantage. So consider that if thats what you like.For me I would prefer a shorter back because all I want is some support for my lower back now and then. It wont lay down on the seat cushion which is good when you get in because you dont have to fight with it to stay in position when you enter.When you turn the conoe over on land its kind of in the way since it stands so tall and you need to constantly force it to lay forward by lifting the canoe and pulling the back out of the way.Just my personal experience. Take it into consideration and if you want the extra back support this item is great. And the butt cushion is just right. Firm but forgiving.

The support piece to the back of the seat is poorly constructed with only a small piece of fabric overlapping the stay. Broke within a couple hours of useDefinitely would not recommend

Don't paddle without this canoe seat!
My Dad took this on a week-long canoe camping trip in Canada. He raved about it when he got home. He has a balky back and this provided good support when he needed it. Well made, easy to attach and light weight.
