Kemimoto X3 Door Opener Kits Door Shocks Struts Compatible with 2017-2025 Can Am Maverick X3 and Max Front and Rear Doors, Black

I thought I was following the instructions correctly at first, but apparently not. I had the upper brackets installed on the wrong sides which prevented the doors from opening very far. I thought it was necessary due to clearance, but I tried reversing them and they fit fine and now the doors open fully. Definitely an upgrade and worth the money and time to install. The X3 should come with these standard.

Works as advertised. Strong strut holds the door well, just be careful someone isn’t standing next to it when it opens, they have some kick. Can’t beat the price and seems well enough built to last.

Install too less than 10 min a side. The components are good quality and the brackets will last a lifetime even if the 6.00 struts do not. I had to trim some plastic on my 2018 but whatever. The stock limiting straps a re junk, so the trick is to upgrade those to limit the door opening and not rely on the strut to stop the door.

I love these things! Having the doors stay open is awesome! Installation time was less than one beer! Goods: Super easy install. Doors stay open. Cheap. Zero modification to X3. Bads: Door bolts too long for no reason. Hydraulic damping no longer works. Notes: The first socket I grabbed was out of my Harbor Freight set that happened to be on the bench and it fits perfectly. Its a good set for $15 so go get it before you destroy a nice socket just to install these. The hydraulic damping has worn out and these now just open the doors at full speed so you have to hold them as they open to keep the speed down. It may have to do with the fact that they hit full extension before the door limiter straps come into play. I'm going to get another set and shorten the straps to see if that helps. If the hydraulic unit was a bit higher quality I'd give this 5 stars, but for $30 I really think this kit is a must-have item for the X3.

Worked great even on aftermarket doors.

When I got these they looked great, easy to install, went in great, worked awesome, then after 2 rides the passenger side broke, well it’s plastic into metal, so a little JB weld and working again, then after another ride the shock on the passenger side is broke, not working at all, the drivers door is starting to fail now too, not swinging open like it should, they used to swing open like nobody’s business, not so much now, will be replacing with something better, the reviews were great on here this is the reason I bought them, maybe I got a lemon kit maybe not, I’m not saying don’t buy them but I am saying I will not buy them again.

Had to return one of 2 sets ordered. Someone who recently purchased the item damaged it and then put it back in the box. Company needs to better evaluate returns before they resell it. Other then that item works well and easy to install.

Must get for your X3 to keep your doors open.

Now after a couple months they open fast just like all the other cheap ones

They open really really fast. Must hold on to the door as they swing open if someone is beside you. Will break the straps off over time (ask me how i know)
