Best I Have Found
I have been experimenting with making my own “instant noodle quick lunches”. Some of the ramen noodle type soups have way too much salt and not much nutrition to them. I personally love the taste of miso and find a good one made from scratch has a rich and satisfying flavor. It also takes some time and effort to get it right. I am pleasantly surprised and pleased every time I make a cup of this instant miso soup. No, it’s not homemade, but with some rice noodles, fresh chives and parsley, it is quite satisfying. If I have some leftover chicken, fish and/or veggies I put them in also and it gets even better. Takes little effort and so much better for me than a sandwich and chips. I thought at first it’s a little pricey, but find now it’s quite good stacked up against a time consuming homemade scratch miso and better than any other brand I have tried. I took a picture of it, but can’t find it locally, so I’m glad I can get it on Amazon with free Prime shipping. Worth it to me.

Delicious but too expensive,
I love this product but I can no longer purchase it because it costs too much.

all ready to go just add water, nice to stack in pantry, eat as is or add whatever you want
Good flavor, nice pantry addition. I sometimes have a hankering for a cup of miso soup. I try to keep some miso paste on hand, but I end up not using it. This allows me to have an easy to make cup of soup that turns out similar to what I get in a restaurant. I sometimes add bits of tofu and chive, but often nothing at all. Or I use it as a broth base to a noodle (or grain) bowl. Funny, with prices going up, I expected to have come back to this and have it be more costly. But it is on the order of 4-5 less than what I paid for it ($14.50). So current $10 ish price is way better.

Good, but could be better
At just over $1 each these are okay value for the money. As they are individually wrapped, these are easy to store and even easier to make - all you need is hot water something to stir it with. The soup taste is pretty good, honestly comparable to the miso soups that you'd order from a Japanese restaurant. In the addition to the soup you'll also find soft tofu, fried tofu (they call it fried bean curd), seaweed and green onion. However, only the seaweed and fried bean tofu pieces are satisfactory. The soft tofu is extremely salty - they must have soaked up all the salt from the freeze drying process, but it literally tastes like you are eating pure salt cubes. The green onion is not edible. The pieces are extremely tough and fibrous and I eat around them. Overall it's not bad, but I've had better freeze dried miso soups from our local Asian store here. If this is your first time buying freeze dried miso soup I would try from another vendor or something from your local store before ordering again.

Yummy and Extremely portable
Extremely portable and yummy! I go on a trip I slip several of these in my bag and I have something to eat whenever wherever. I’ve highly recommended it to family members who have also purchased their own. Very good flavor, perfect portion for me, not the ultimate filler but goes very well with added Ingredients. I personally bought some other assorted dehydrated veggies to mix in and make it a little more filling. It would also go very well with certain proteins. The seaweed adds a little fishy flavor so think shrimp if you’re a fan of it. I also think chicken could go very well with this product. You could add rice or noodles or just a variety of other things and have a wonderful delicious flavorful soup. It’s perfection for me even just as is. I’m definitely a future customer if all circumstances permit. Thank you

Good Flavor with Some Mixed Thoughts
I really love miso soup, so I was excited to try this freeze-dried version. The ingredients that I enjoy - green onion, tofu, and seaweed - are definitely present and taste authentic. The overall flavor is genuinely good and has that restaurant-like quality that makes it feel like a real meal rather than just instant soup. However, I have some mixed feelings about certain aspects. The beans and other additional ingredients just aren’t for me - they don’t add to the experience and actually detract from what I want in a miso soup. Personal preference, but I’d rather have a simpler version focused on the classic components. My biggest issue is with how the miso dissolves. Despite the good flavor, I find it dissolves poorly even with hot water, leaving some clumps or residue that affects the smooth texture you expect from quality miso soup. This is frustrating because the taste is there, but the preparation doesn’t quite deliver the restaurant-like experience it promises. The 0.27-ounce portions are definitely on the small side, though they are surprisingly filling for a light lunch or snack. It does serve as a perfect cold weather solution when you want something warm and comforting quickly. The ease of preparation is definitely convenient when you need something fast. The jury is really out on this product for me. I don’t hate it - the flavor is good and it does satisfy that miso craving. But between the dissolution issues and the ingredients I don’t care for, I probably won’t purchase it again. For the price point and portion size, I’d rather invest in a different brand or preparation method that gives me a smoother, more customizable miso experience.

Wasn't expecting much but
This tiny lil packet contains a lot of good authentic flavor. I also didn't expect such nice sized pieces of tofu, onion and seaweed to reconstitute from the little cube. Im in the US and not accustomed to measuring in ml as the instructions call for but, put the cube in a normal size coffee mug, fill 3/4 with water and to me it's a perfect serving. I've tried many instant miso brands, with seperate packets of miso paste & toppings, powdered, etc... Edward & sons was my favorite for a while but their pricing wasn't. This will now be my go to, give it a try. It's good
