As others have said, it fits TOO tightly. I could not remove it during embroidery to trim appliques, etc. So I took the part that has the connector and used a sanding block and a wet sanding sponge. I sanded the top edge AND it's sides (in case the problem was with width of guides) and I sanded the two guides underneath along top AND the sides. Mind you, I am talking just a little bit of work and a little bit of plastic being removed. I did it slowly and use the wet sanding sponge to smooth it out, dried it, and tried it in machine before going further. Now it slides in and out like butter but is still locked in tight. I may try this technique on my 9/12 x 12 as it can be a bit tough to take out, too.Thanks to those that posted their solutions.now, to the hoop, it works perfectly now and is just the size I needed for a quilting in the hoop project I am doing.

I bought this to take to classes. I didn't want to risk my hoop or spend the $200 on a name brand one. I've used it in 3 different babylock machines, a Meridian, the one that begins with an A, and the Solaris. None of the machines have given me any trouble with it and it slides in better that the one that came with my Destiney.

The description says fits Babylock machines but it is so hard to get in and out I'm afraid it is going to damage the machine.

It is extremely hard to slide in and out

The hoop does fit the Luminaire X1, but it is very hard to get in and out of the machine. I am hoping it slides in better soon. I have used it a lot, but it is still just as hard to get in and out.
