Highly Recommended for a Great Value or Low to Mid-Range Disposal Replacement
Nice value for a garbage disposal, the mounting ring is compatible with InsinkErator and Kitchen Aid disposals with the metal three prong twist lock mounting clamp.I replaced an rusted out badger 5, and also an older Kitchen Aid with no problems, the disposal seems to have an sound insulation housing around it which is quieter than the Badger series and Evolution Excel series. When first powered on there is a slight clunk when the hammers are getting spun out, after that it's a fairly quiet disposal. At my house the Evolution Excel is near silent, but that is a much higher price range, these work great for the rental properties or for people who do not mind the sight startup noise. The manufacture does include a pre-wired cord making installation quicker and no need to deal with any electrical, or for those who have a leaking disposal which allowed corrosion to get into their original cords. Build quality would be a 7 out of 10 the outside housing does not seem to fit as nice as the ISE Excel series, and the bottom is not insulated. The reset button is placed on the front which is good if the drain line is oriented in the correct direction or you may be reaching around for the reset button somewhere. The stainless sink mount is polished over the matt finish of the ISE ones and there is no logo making for a cleaner look. When installing with a dishwasher, the hose connection is plugged with an internal cap which comes out cleanly with little effort, the ISE series all have a knock out in the plastic housing which leaves jagged edges and burrs. The people who made this unit were thinking of the installers, reducing the chances of stringy items getting hung up on the dishwasher inlet. One draw back would be there is no place to insert a wrench on the bottom to unjam the unit, the instructions to mention alternate methods for the procedure.Overall for the cost of these disposals, I can not really complain, especially when the name brand competitor is much more and includes less features. Anyone who is considering this as a replacement for a basic to mid-range disposal I would not hesitate, for those looking for a high end unit, this may not please without jam avoidance, auto reverse, and slightly more noise.

Can not get in size in place of the previous equipment.
Working. Disadvantage - larger dimensions than standard 1 / 2HF. Good quality performance. Integrated power cord.

It works fine, however being quiet isn't it's best quality.

Finally found one that works!
I purchased my Kitchen Eater and wasn't quite sure how to install it, but I called the number on the instructions and they talked me through it, NO PROBLEM! The Kitchen Eater replaced my broken Badger 5 easily. I only had to unplug the old one, disconnect the drain hose, hook up the new one, and I was good to go.The Kitchen Eater seems MUCH more powerful than the Badger, and it grinds up whatever I put in there without making too much noise.I'll tell you what...with all the good reviews on Amazon for disposers, I'm not gonna go to Home Depot and make the smae mistake twice (actually a third time, because this is the second Badger that clunked out on me).I think the Kitchen Eater is like a hundred bucks cheaper than a similar unit they sell at Lowes. You know, I use my disposer to grind up food so that it doesn't end in the city dump, but when I think about how much waste I'm causing by tossing out these heavy metal Badgers every few years, what's the point? I should have done this a few years ago, rather than put another Badger in the sink.Hey, if I can install this, ANYONE CAN!Mike from Jersey

Good bu early.
Thus far, performs well but too early to evaluate durability.

I'm very happy
Quality appears to be high. Fast, powerful, and quiet.I used the scissors jack from my car to lift into position so I could tighten the connector. It made the job super easy.
