Ozonics HR-200 Electronic Scent Eliminator

I'm an avid bow hunter living in Kentuckyt. I used this product all last deer season. I am sold. I've read some negative posts about this item, but they are out of their mine as far as I am concerned. Does it stop every deer from smelling you or sensing you are there...no. Nothing does. But this Ozonics HR-200 does better than anything I have ever tried.Like I said I used this all last season. Where I hunt it seems like the wind constantly swirls. One minute it is hitting me in the back, the next in the face, so it didn't keep every deer from smelling me. You still have to use good scentfree sense with your other hunting items. But...when the deer would come from the direction of the way I had the ozonics pointed (the main wind direction) not one deer was spooked. They would simply walk right under my stand.Because of this and my confidence in this machine, I won't go deer hunting again without it. It works great, it is quite, batteries have a long life. I bought 2 extra for hunting all day. I love it.

I don't typically provide reviews, but based on the price of this item and a lot of the negative feedback i've seen on Amazon and other websites, I decided to add my opinion.I'm an avid bow hunter living in North Dakota. I've been after a trophy deer for the past month and hunting out of a ground blind. With corn harvest and other challenges, I've had to set my blind up in a less than ideal location based on prevailing winds. I was constantly getting busted by deer and not to mention, had not had the trophy I am after show up while sitting in the blind (tons of camera pictures during shooting time).I finally decided to purchase Ozonics and was very hesitant it would work. I sat in my blind last night with the worst wind direction possible. I had deer walking within feet of my blind and downwind and never busted me. In addition, my trophy buck came out downwind and never suspected I was in the blind. Had he come out 5 minutes sooner, I would have had a chance to arrow him. It was just a little to dark when he decided to come out.In standard mode, you can barely hear the fan. It's very easy to setup and if setup properly and venting out of an open window, you can't smell the ozone.I highly recommend this product to the avid bow hunter that wants the extra advantage.

I'm rating this a 3 only due to the fact I've not hunted over it yet. So why am I reviewing it at al you say? Good question, since getting it I've been running it daily in my house,, having 2 dogs & 3 cats,, there's to be some pet odor,, well not any more. I've noticed it has eliminated the smells,, even my fiancé who was mad I bought it, asks me to run it,, we can all tell the difference,, next test is my car. Which I will perform tomorrow with my old hiking boots sitting in the sun. The stock battery lasts about 6 hrs on low. I tested it in the bathroom, to simulate a hunting blind,, I could smell the ozone for about a 1/2hr after I turned it off. Where the 2 dogs sleep I ran it on high while they weren't there(to be safe) & I had a hard time smelling any odor. I believe the rating will be higher after a few hunts & deer sightings. I have been testing it now for almost 3 weeks, & I'm really excited about its potential.

I read the reviews and decided to take a chance based on all of the positive feedback. Now that I have used the device over a dozen times, I've decided that I hate it and wasted my money to boot. I have been a deer hunter for over fifty years and have taken six Pope and Young deer and one Boone & Crockett so I do not consider myself as a novice. My hunting area is laid out so I frequently have issues with wind direction at my stand sites. I mistakenly thought that this device would help in those circumstances, NOT! I have followed the manufactures directions to the letter, wash my hunting clothing in scent free hunters laundry detergent, have treated all clothing with UV killer, bath with scent free soap, use scent free deodorant and scent free toothpaste before every outing. In the dozen or more times that I have gone out hunting, this device has failed miserably. I got so sick of the frustration of setting it up only to see the deer actually skirting my stand sites or not seeing any activity at all. Tonight's hunt finalized my use of this useless piece of junk. The air was still and I had gone thru all the normal cleanliness preparations prior to setting up my stand site on the ground. A small buck was approaching from my downwind side and when it got to about thirty yards, it stopped then bolted in the opposite direction. This unit is new and for what I paid for it, I would give it a ZERO rating if that was an option.
