JIM DUNLOP 472RL1 0.50m Tortex Jazz, Red - Pack of 36

I bought over 200 of these
The H3s are the same pics as the white and black tortex 1.14 mm jazz iii's. The only difference I have noticed is the color and the back of the pic doesn't have a label on it like the black and white ones. For some reason to even though this is tortex it definitely has a better grip than the white and black ones.

A Spunky lil' Niche Pick
It took no time at all to realize this was my dream pick. However not for everyone, due to its somewhat paradoxical nature as a .50 Jazz Pick. Why I love themSharp, finely articulated attackBright and crisp tone that brings out hose shimmering highs super wellIncredible speed for high input techniques like Trem, Sweep and Alt PickingBrilliant for Funk/Jazz strumming/chords. Often needing a speedy, sometimes alternated with mutes patterns over 3-6 note chords. Their thin guage helps them guide smoothly over wide strums, and I've found the Jazz version has far better speed and control over the regular Sharp tip TortexPinch harmonics are a breeze since there's already so little material to get in the waySexy palm mutesGreat grip textureWhat may take some getting used to at first:Very little to grab onto here, as a .50 Jazz Pick. However give it some time, it took a little getting used toCertain techniques require a very close grip, so it may take some time getting used to holding such a small pick so close to the tip, and thus close to the string itself. It's sometimes necessary to ensure proper rebound when Trem picking as an exampleRemember not to grip the pick too tight. It may feel like it's always about to fly out of your fingers, but the grip does a better job than you initially think. Gripping these too hard can lead to hand cramps, and you'll feel much more comfortable once you're confident in you're ability to grip the pick lightly without letting it goDifferent tension and response than most picksConsTips dull quickly from their highest level of quality and articulation. I personally start every show with a fresh one, and a couple spares set to the side. The used picks I set aside still earn their money's worth in practice, where I find it benefits to practice with a slightly worn pick, and then everything's a bit easier when I pick up a fresh, sharp one for a show.Grip memory sometimes indents in a way that just doesn't sit right, usually after gripping too tight. I remedy this by simply flipping the pick around every once in awhile during a restBest usesWith stable, firm string tensionFor the most part, common Metal styles and techniques in general: Trem picking, pinch harmonics, palm mutes etc.Funk strummingJazz ChordsCarrying wallet spares (They slide right between my debt cards!)A spirited soul who's not afraid to forfeit a lil' control for a lot of spunk. In turn, it's helped me improve my technique rather than rely on a firm, stiff, predictable pickDefinitely give these a shot. They may just not be for you and that's fine, however if there's a chance you may love em' as much as I have then I'd say it's worth the leap. Give em' some patience at first, and some love into practice and you'll know you're way around these babies in no time

After taking a good hour to get used to the smaller size and ...
After taking a good hour to get used to the smaller size and different shape of this pick, I can't use anything else. I adore these picks, the 1.14mm thickness is perfect for me, and when I'm strumming, it doesn't feel like I'm going to break any strings. The tonal characteristics of these picks are basically the same as most other picks, not much difference. I use these for guitar and mandolin as well. After heavy playing a lot, they do get worn down a bit, but I haven't broken one yet. These feel much more precise than a normally shaped and sized guitar pick, but a byproduct of these picks is that a normal pick feels large and clunky. Absolutely recommend though.

The only pick I ever use
These picks are my go-to picks and have been for 20 years. The shape and size is absolutely perfect for precision picking and the coating provides a surface that is very slip resistant. You won't be dropping these during a performance for the most part.I first found these picks when I was in music school and was using the standard, larger picks out there. I found that I was able to pick faster and with more economical motion with the smaller pick and was never able to go back to a larger size. I think that you will like these if you try them, but I can't promise that they are for everyone.Pick choice is a completely personal thing, so you might not like the smaller size of these picks, but I cannot see myself ever using a different pick.

Just buy it. Don't be stupid.
It's just straight dumb not to buy this 36 pack at such a low price and free shipping. This is THE PICK. It's everyone's favorite pick and everyone's other favorite pick in one!!! You got the original tortex 88 green pic in the jazziii shape and size. You will never need to try a different pick again. And common! 36 for something like 12 bucks, I think it was? Free shipping. Just buy it. Don't be stupid.

THE best pick...period
These are IMHO simply the best picks...PERIOD. I'm a full time professional guitarist (over 35 yrs), and I have a drawer full of castaways from over the years (mostly other Dunlop varieties). These 472RH3's just work the best for me, electric or acoustic. The only thing that could be better would be a Dunlop Ultex 1.14, but in this jazz size (it doesn't exist...YET).Here's a tip I've discovered: If you wash the pick (soap and water...duh) after using it for a while, it will hold better without slipping around between the thumb and finger. Obviously how frequently depends on personal factors.

pick of the century
finally, that ideal balance between most totally solid picks with no flex, and those too soft noodly picks!

They’re slightly smaller than I wanted, but the quality is top notch.
I was hoping they would be a little larger, but the thickness is perfect and they’re unbreakable. Quality pics from a quality brand.

Good picks and great bargain
Slips sometimes but excellent picks. Used them more than max grips because if the feel.

These are smaller than normal picks
These are the small size jazz picks, about 2/3 the size of normal picks. If you havent played with them before you should go to your local music store and pick some up to test out. I used to use the side corner of normal picks and started using these instead since i dont need much pick sticking out from my fingers. Skilled players will benefit from a smaller pick.... Not for strummy dummies! Also I got a bonus 37th pick in this pack. Haha to whoever got 35 in theirs

Quelli giusti
Ne ho provati tanti, ma questi sono perfetti. Più di ogni altro materiale questo ha l'equilibrio perfetto tra grip sulle dita e buon feeling sulle corde, e la dimensione ridotta aiuta tantissimo nel picking di precisione.

all I use, A+ product
These are the ones I use for acoustic guitar strumming, great control, never fall out of the thumb-index finger with minimal grip because of their size. A+ product. Dunlop picks are the best :-)
