Lightweight, manoeuvrable, effective
Bought this as a lightning Prime Day deal and I think that’s great value ate below £190 with a car detail kit and let hair accessory included.I wanted a simple vacuum cleaner; one which would vacuum carpet and porcelain tiled floors, plus sweep over ceilings and get in to nooks and crannies, I’ve bought Dyson, Hoover, Bissell, Bosch, Vax and others over the years, with differing results. This is the best multi function cleaner I’ve bought. It looks good, striking colours. It’s relatively light and the cord length is generous. It sweeps up pet hair from carpet with ease, there are bright lights on the sweeping head which show up under cupboards, beds etc and make it easy to see what needs to be vacuumed. Suction power is adequate. Ideally suited for day to day regular use rather than once in a blue moon deep clean. For me, there are two really big plus points. Main one is that it’s incredibly easy to attach pod, wand, cleaning brush etc. It’s genuinely one click and into place. I have arthritis and found Dyson and Hoover models really difficult to manage. This was out of the box, clicked and set up literally in a few minutes. A paper booklet of set up is clear and very easy to follow. Good diagrams and step by step instructions. My home has lots of awkwArd corners. The smaller cleaning head on this machine allows easy acces. Also, the head swivels making it very easy to turn corners and reach niche areas. The dust pod is smallish, but it’s very, very easy to click, tilt forward, remove pod, hold base over waste, click and empty. By far the easiest I’ve used and it empties with little effort. I love this machine; well as much as I’ll live any vacuum cleaner...but it’s the best I’ve used for so far and with a 5 year guarantee, there’s little to lose. Really impressed.

Bye Dyson
I have spent 10 years with a Dyson that now sounds like a wheezing jet turbine. So needing a new vacuum I wanted reasonably priced with good manoeuvrability.I have known about Shark for a while and always liked the look of them. So I took this chance to get one but there is so much choice I wasn’t sure where to start.Amazon had a good deal on this model and it had many features I wanted especially the ability to create a light weight hand carry vacuum that can be used around stairs with ease. With an added bonus of attachments for the car and pet hair. The build quality is very good. As with any vacuum cleaner it is plastic but feels solid and took a tumble down the stairs with ease ( won’t do that again )The auction power is very good, can lift carpets and pull up well worn in debris out of the carpets. This is a new vacuum though so time will tell if this lasts. The hose stretches well and is easy to hold and when you take off the main unit from the floor cleaning section it becomes super easy to manoeuvre around a room as so light.Even the LED lights have been useful for low down and late night cleaning which I didn’t expect. The best feature though is the design. Removing the main using for a light weight carry vacuum. An easy to remove dust collector and filters mean maintenance on the vacuum is really quick and simple. That sums up the genius of this vacuum. A well designed and thought out lightweight machine that is as if not more capable than machines costing twice as much. Actually enjoy cleaning now. ( don’t tell the other half ).

How to do twice as much in the same amount of time!
The first thing that impressed me was the packaging, there is literally one wire tie and a plug protector cap that isn't biodegradable. All the rest of the packaging is paper based and incredibly strong.Instructions are clear for the most part and use of the Shark is incredibly intuitive. It's like someone who regularly vacuums has designed a vacuum, rather than someone who watches them being used. My only complaint is that I can't park the pet tool on the body as well as the others. Suction is fantastic and hair honestly didn't wrap (which is going some given how long MoonChild's hair is!). It's quiet enough that I have to remove my idiot cat from being in the way when I do his cat tree. Oh yeah, that's another fantastic thing, the way the Shark breaks down distributes the weight beautifully. This means I can do the stairs and the cat tree without having a sternum. Omg! Finally something that's light AND powerful that I can use comfortably post heart surgery! The one thing I didn't see the point of were the lights until I used it to do my landing and realised how crap the light is there. And I felt really smug that I didn't need to turn round and do it again from the other direction. The suction is consistent and the hard floor mode is great too. I can achieve so much more in the same amount of time it's impressive.Definitely a good purchase so far. It's even forgiven a surprise alen key (stopped and removed at first clatter, obviously)

Does the job, mostly
The suction on this thing is great, picks everything up without too much fuss. The anti hair thing works well, and there's a lot of long hair on our floors! The hose is awful, the spring in it is far too strong, often pulling the thing over before getting any additional length out of it. It's that annoying I rarely use the hose on it because it drives me mad! It's pretty heavy going so between that and the hose it's just a pain to use on the stairs. I've tried using it in the car but again the hose lets it down.Attachments are good, though the wide nozzle always falls off the holder. The hose retainer clip thing is as useful as a chocolate fireguard, the thing stays in for about 15 seconds before popping back out.But for normal cleaning it's great for getting up all the dirt and hair.
