Well built, appearing to be high quality in construction. Note -98 Jeep GC 5.9L V8 AC bypass ??
I tried this on a 98 Grand Cherokee to bypass the air conditioning compressor as shown on the under hood diagram. I did not have the original OEM Mopar parts number for that belt and relied on online help, it was worth a try. However it came off and was torn up within a mile. It is well made and probably very good in it's intended OEM application - but sadly this particular one did not do the trick on my stock 5.9L V8 GC, your millage may be better. As I said it appears to be a well made belt and I would buy this brand again for the OEM routing.

Alternate belt for no a/c on 1997 Jeep zj v8
As with all Dayco belts expect them to be reliable. However I bought this belt to bypass the A/C compressor on my 1997 zj Grand Cherokee. I did this as a temporary measure until I got the a/c fixed. The replacement bracket s are expensive and you could be stranded if it breaks. So I keep this in theJeep with a 15mm wrench. At least you will be able to get home without a tow.Bear in mind the reviews for the Dorman bracket are not good.

short life
I used this belt for about a year. It started to squeak. Didn't think it would go bad this soon so I was trying to troubleshoot pulleys and tensioner to resolve the squeak. Finally I got one from autozone, the noise went away right away. The original belt 8 years!
