I just received this kit. It has everything you need to get started for beginners. I will be getting an additional comb so I have the different size gaps. The quality of each item is better than I had hoped for. The instructions are not as great as I would have liked. They do explain the different items and give you some direction to quilling. It is just not as thorough as it could be. The thicknesses of the paper is perfect and comes in multiple sizes. I am extremely glad I bought this, only wish it would have been my 1st purchase to save me a lot of time. If your considering I'll guarantee after my shopping around and research it's the best kit I was able to find. Buying just a few of the tools or supplies can surpass this in price.

I read many of the reviews and was a little worried the tool box would be too flimsy. I was pleasantly surprised how nice it is. Yes, it would probably break if you throw it against a wall! For my needs, it works great and keeps everything organized. Everything does fit inside when organized. I keep the paper in a zip lock bag as I have more paper. The blue is a lovely color and like all the tools matching. Good quality tools. I would say a more detailed instruction manual would be nice. Great gift! Good for beginners and advanced! Shipped quickly!

Overall a very full set that's great if you're starting out.The templates are simple but the instructions on them are the same on each one and don't explain much so you have to wing it a bit.The instructions that came with the set are both vague and not correct, at least one item description is listed for 2 very different tools.The paper strips come in a variety of sizes, which while appreciated, would have been nice to know before I was halfway through a project and ran out of a color only to find that all of the other strips in that shade were different widths and wouldn't work for this project. The colors offered are great and it's nice to have the different widths but again it'd be nice to have them labeled with their widths either in the item description or on the papers themselves that way you can buy more in the right size.The box appears like it would hold everything, however a lot of it only fits on the bottom and it gets pretty full, I can see needing extra storage for the paper and a few things so that you can use the box more for the tools and gadgets.Overall a good value for what you pay for and a decent quality set with room to upgrade later.

I have never tried paper quilling before and it shows, BUT I’m having fun learning. This kit is a great beginners set. It arrived missing two tools/parts, but I was offered a small refund to make up for that. Overall a great value and set. I’ve only made the one project, so I can’t speak to durability or longevity of the tools, but I have no reason to think they’d break easily as a couple other reviewers mentioned. That hasn’t been my experience so far. I would recommend this kit.

I am new to the art of quilling. I bought a small kit to try it out. I was immediately hooked so I started looking for more tools. I was thrilled when I found this kit and even more impressed when I opened it. It has so many essential tools as well paper and patterns. I am so happy with this purchase and I think you will be too!

I got this kit for my wife as a gift before xmas and she uses it every day. Tools she didn't know she could use and a great case to store it all in.

What description does NOT tell you. You need to buy glue, triple A batteries, and the tool box does not have room for the whole kit. You cannot even Quill without glue!!!!So I spent good money and cannot use the kit. With me a snow storm was going on AND because I live in the country it is 19 miles to the nearest craft store! As a Great-grandma I cannot imagine opening this with a child to tell them we could not start for day/days!!!! However every thing they promise is in the kit.
