Excellent product! Easily winds a 100g Dk ball. I did mine holding it in my hands. Strong, and efficient. Great value for money and a bonus to get all the extras with it. A bit of a fiddle to get into the bag the first few times but easy once you've got the knack.

I knit for charity and end up with loads of partial balls of yarn. This is a fantastic addition to my knitting kit. So easy to use. Just fasten it on to a table or any flat surface. It has a little wingnut to tighten. Doesn't move about when I use it. Pop your wool through the top of the yarn guide and wind the handle. Couple of minutes you have a yarn cake. Just lift it off and the middle closes in. I push the yarn wrapper in the middle. So easy to use. Doesn't wobble when you use it. Can hold 100g dk, 100g Aran. 100g chunky. It doesn't get caught up underneath like some do. Highly recommend this product if you are into knitting

I'm addicted to using this device. Very quick and simple to set up and use. The only advice I'd give is to add a little tension while winding. I had my daughter wind while I held the yarn being fed. Not doing so created a loose, rather saggy yarn cake. The added tension created a tighter form and because, as you slide the cake off the holder, the centre closes, it means you do not have to worry about stretching the yarn. Added benefits to this order were the two sets of crochet hooks. I'm unlikely to use the tiny lace sizes but the plastic handled larger, every-day sizes could be used as back-up. I'm very happy with my yarn winder, highly recommend it to anyone.

Easy to use and does what it's supposed to. I would say it's overpriced for what it is as it's by no means heavy duty, but then it's not the kind of thing you use daily so it will probably trundle along forever and a day.

Excellent ball winder, it’s double my wool storage.

This was one of my Xmas gifts, I am so happy now it works brilliantly just need to buy a desk for it. Fits most desks or sides well, didn't tangle once I got the hang of it. Looks just like the picture and so far I haven't tested it with the 400g yarn I have but will soon and see how that goes. So far it easily handled my chunky 100g well.

This item is a must. It is brilliant, great value for money and a very strong and stable in use. The satisfaction I got from tidying up all my left over yarn in to neat cakes of yarn was well worth this purchase. It easily winds up 100grams of wool very quickly and I know I wont have the annoyance anymore of trying to sort out a ball of wool in knitting. The crochet hooks are a great addition as very small sizes are an added bonus. 5 stars.

I used for 5 hours straight winding up all my yarn! Easy to use once you get the hang of it, and once the yarn is all rolled up, they stack better. The winder is quite loud. Highly suggest if your yarn is a mess! The crochet hooked that come with are not the best, a few of them bending, but the yarn winder is a 10/10 for me!

This is soooo much better than winding by hand. Not too noisy, feels sturdy enough, and came with a storage bag, scissors, and a full set of hooks. The scissors aren't perfectly sharp along the whole length of the blade, and I haven't used the hooks, but it's a nice bonus, especially for the price. The winder is able to handle a 500 yard ball of fingering weight no problem, though I'm not sure it could make balls from larger skeins. (DK weight 200 yards also fine.)
