The slim profile blades allow access to very crowded growth and grip anything from a Daffodil stem to a small branch. The grippers are self adjusting to whatever is being cut and the fine pointed blades will cut even the finest stem. Especially useful when pruning a prickly shrub such as Holly or Roses since no contact is necessary.
