Final step in silencing bow
The purpose of these is to protect the limb tip. As an added bonus they also make the bow noticeably more quiet ( assuming you've backed your limbs, upgraded to a Flemish twist string and added string silencers). As far as difficulty of installation - yes they are undersized, which is necessary to ensure a secure fit. Simply boil water, let these soak for 1 minute, then install and you're good to go.

They were very tight
I tried to loosen them with a blow dryer and they shrank.I think a dip in hot water for 15-30 seconds will loosen them up.Still a great product and really needed if you are like me. I’m a little rough in my gear.They are going on all three of my bows!

Waste of money, too small even after soaking in hot water, Would not even fit two youth recurve bows.

Small tips so u need like a carbon limb tip that isn't too big for them to work well for you.
The limbs I ordered these for are a carbon/glass recurve limb tip. They r small but a little thicker on top. U can push them on most of the way but it's going to take time for them to form a memory for something that is flat to go over a hard object that isn't flat.

Perfect fit for my ILF recurve
I bought these to protect the lower limb tip from getting scuffed up when I stand up the bow with the stabilizers attached. Warmed under hot water as others had suggested and it slipped right on perfectly. I can see that the fit maybe an issue on a conventional recurve (take down or one piece) but for an ILF limb (mine are Sanlida X10's) they were perfect. They seemed snug enough that they shouldn't fall off.

Keep the dirt out
By using the Longbow covers you keep the dirt out and stop your bow from losing it’s bridge height. Excellent product.

Fits perfectly for the samick sage
All I did was boil some water in a cup in the microwave, then i dropped the rubber tips in the water to soften the rubber tips, then I took them out of the water and then slide them on right away don't wait rubber needs to be soft, also I used a dish cloth for grip to slide the rubber tips on .. Overall nice perfect fit 👌
