The normal complaint with these tools is that the base is too light to hold the apparatus. Not so here, but the arms are sadly far too lose to be used as intended. The coefficient of friction between the ball joints and their clamps is so low, worrying force is required to get the arms to hold still under their own weight. Let alone much else.Sadly this limits its utility.

The product is a lot smaller than it appears in the ad. However it was very reasonably priced so no complaints. I think this is best for a starter lamp/glass and it you find it useful perhaps buy a bigger one with more height and a bigger magnifying glass

Great product and service. Does the complete job of holding onto things whilst you have your hands free and perfect magnification.
