Diese Klappe war für den Inneneinbau in die Wohnzimmertür gedacht. Die Montage war einfach. Es war keine Schablone beigelegt, so das das umständliche abmalen der Steckseite notwendig war.Leider bleibt die Durchgangsklappe immer an der Seite hängen an der die Stubentiger gerade durch gehen. Geht nicht in die Mittelstellung zurück, das verhindert weder die Zugluft und erschwert den Durchgang für die Tiere. Für den Inneneinbau weiterer Klappen werde ich einen anderen Hersteller wählen.Mitteilung an den Hersteller:Eine Montageschablone wäre hilfreichDie Befestigungsschrauben sollten dringend eine bessere Qualität haben.

The media could not be loaded. This cat door is well made. The flap works well. I like the clear Plastic door. There is only one door.The is one of two cat doors I had purchased. I put this in a fence in my back yard. I have coyote's . So it is just an escape door for my cat incase he is chased by a coyote or ? I plan to buy three more as emergency exits for him. I spent $800 on Coyote fencing on my property; but he is a feral cat that is savvy to Coyote's. But I am a firm believer to close the gate before the cows are gone.You can spend more for for cat doors but why. This is a good quality cat door. The box it comes in is a poor quality and design. But you are just tossing the box when you are done. The other cat door was a PetSafe Wall Entry Pet Door with Telescoping Tunnel that cost $60 . But my walls are 1 foot thick in my house so I needed the extending tunnel. But both are of the same quality. Except the the Petsafe is double flaps.

Pros: Very easy to install, overall works as advertised.Cons: It's a little cheap. One of my cats pushed the door open when it was locked, which tore off some of the insulation. I was able to tape it back on, and it was in a location where I could build a more solid wood door in front of it that I open in the morning and close at night. It also isn't very strong -the magnet doesn't always hold when it gets windy and a cat comes in or out.

The large cat door works well and at $14 a great deal, although no template was provided and the instructions are poor. I installed this in our porch screen door bottom after holding it up to the door and tracing around the outside as indicated, then used a jigsaw to cut out the opening. If you are installing in a hollow door then the screws provided will be too short and you'll need to pick up some #8 x 2 1/2 inch ones to reach all the way through to connect both sides. I installed it with the name side out for a good seal against the rain and to prevent water from collecting in the opening.
