Very useful, but you need to be well prepared to install it correctly
All right, I'll give you the negatives first and then go to positives. The glazing comes in a roll with instructions on how to install it, but you'll need to figure out how to cut it accurately.First of all, obviously, it's a big sheet of material and you need to have either a big desk available or a clean floor. My floor is covered in cat hair, so not ideal, but I hoovered beforehand. Also, make sure you have a long ruler or something of the sort to measure and line with. Get a permanent marker to mark how you will cut it - instructions, I think, suggest pen or pencil, but these will barely show up on the plastic.Secondly, be as precise as possible and make sure you cut at right angles. Perhaps cut the material a bit wider and longer than your actual window - you can always trim it. I struggled for at least an hour with two windows, lining up the film with the sides according to instructions and over and over, but I couldn't get it to line up exactly. Eventually, I don't know how, I managed a satisfactory coverage of the window, but it wasn't perfect and I had to trim a bit of material off the top while the bottom remained with an asymmetrical gap that's about 1cm at its widest part.Third, be ready to experiment with how much water you spray on the window to adhere the film to it. I have tried very hard to smooth it down as much as possible, but there are still air pockets underneath. They are not hugely noticeable and they don't bother me, but if you're a perfectionist about these things, they might, so keep that in mind.On the positive side, I am overall quite pleased with what we've ended up with (though it took work!). The film does its job very nicely and obscures us from view from the street no matter what the time of day and it looks perfectly fine from outside and inside. We've had it on the windows for a couple of months now and it has never even started to peel off nor move around on the glass. All in all, it has given us exactly what we wanted, it just didn't turn out as neat as I had hoped. If you don't mind putting in a bit of elbow grease to put it up, I would recommend the product and I reckon the value for money is pretty good!

Couldn't have been easier
Used this to obscure some patio doors on my shed. Cleaned the windows with vinegar, sprayed with water and stuck the film on the window (peeling off the backing as i moved down the window), squeegeed out the air bubbles with a credit card then cut the excess off using a sharp Stanley knife blade against the credit card > using the credit card in left hand to push the film into the edge and the blade in the right then moving them in unison to make a really clean cut all the way down the edge - was very simple - much simpler than i thought it was going to be. The film really obscures the view.

Great for privacy
I initially purchased these to (1) provide privacy when my blinds are up and (2) enable light into the room.I used the film on the bottom half of the window to provide some privacy, the top half of the window provides loads of sunshine and outdoor viewing. My first purchase was for the kitchen, it was my first time doing it, it wasn't perfect but it looked great and did the job, so I made a second purchase and did my room (see picture), I get loads of sunshine (if there is any) and it hides me from prying eyes.Measure twice and cut once!

Creates shade
We bought for our conservatory roof which is entirely glass and therefore very hot in summer! We had been quoted 8k to replace the roof for a solid one so buying this for each panel worked out much cheaper!! Works great and creates shade. Bit tricky to install, but obviously it’s on a roof so bound to be! Just need to ensure the glass is soaked well. Once the bubbles were pushed out those looked really neat and has been up 2wks and not fell down! Very pleased as saved us a fortune

Difficult to work with but does the trick and is removable
This my second review on this product. Downgrading to 3 stars. Although yes it does do what it says it’s very difficult to work with and should come with additional items. I had to get someone with long fingernails to unpick the backing plastic. Perhaps running an overlap down the length of the roll would help here. I had to purchase a spray bottle. Considering it was a £1 from the pound store it could have bean supplied. In this product advice it advises about too much and too little water. A sprayer with the right size nozzle would help. Also was disappointed on light leakage from the sides. It’s not the manufacturers fault that the window frame is not completely straight leaving gaps when placing it. I found that simple black electrical tape does the trick. That could’ve been supplied too. Functionally I have a blacked out window but it looks messy with bubbles. Any large piece is going to have that problem. It does however stay up even when the window is open and a substantial breeze if blowing through.
