I have been looking for pure heeng for some time, trying different products, but none were perfect. The moment I opened this packet, I knew I found the right one. Very strong authentic aroma. Love the product. Will order again. Hope they maintain quality.

So, there are two kind of people- one who likes their onion garlic and one who likes the devil's dung aka Hing aka asafoeteda. We are the dung ones! Growing up, having used to purest afghan hing ,those storebought powdered hing brands, frankly feel like scam! In Covid times I am out of my beloved strong hing and I turned to amazon to rescue! Ok, actual review now. - Texture- it is in granulated form. Not powdered so you'll have to crush it before adding. (Grandma's tip- use back of a spoon to crush) Flavour and strength- stronger than all the ones I tried from store. Not strong as my old one from India. Since strong, a pinch goes a long way. Value for money- The price is a bit higher but I believe thats because of the cross continent availability. This was my second time ordering this brand. I believe, this might be my go to hing for few more months! All in all, order it you won't be disappointed.

Wheat flour is the first ingredient. Fed this to someone who has celiacs disease thinking it was “100% pure and gluten free”. I will be reporting this product.

Seal was broken when product arrived

I have been looking for pure hing for quite some time, trying lot of different brands, but none were perfect and every one was with filler, none were 100% pure. The moment I opened this packet, the aroma bursted out. Its very fresh and pure, just a pinch will do the work. Going to keep this as my permanent hing brand. Hope they keep this quality.

Love this product, I wish they offer different size. Expensive for the price what u get. Very strong flavor. Love it.

This is the resinous form of the spice. It is unbelievably strong so unless you want your house to constantly smell of it then I'd recommend keeping the container in a tightly sealed jar and opening outside when you need a crumb for cooking. When it first arrived I could practically taste the smell, it was so strong. On the plus side, lasts ages and isn't cut with fennel or corn starch, like many other suppliers of the powdered form.

This is very very strong! Arrived in a box which held a small plastic container. Inside the plastic container was a small plastic bag holding the granules. I could smell the product before I opened any box, container or plastic. I have transferred the granules to an air tight container (glass jar). Hopefully that will keep the aroma trapped in the jar. I tried mixing one granule about the size of a grain of rice into baked beans. This was too much! Needs to be a lot less. Impressive really. Hopefully will work with low FODMAP diet as recommended. This product has no gums or rice flour (a lot of other brands have gums and flours. The product is also labelled "gluten free."

Para quien como yo no puede comer cebolla (SIBO y intestino irritable) es un fantástico sustituto, sin contar sus beneficios digestivos. Es puro y solo se necesita una pequeña cantidad. Lo recomiendo.

Questa assafetida è veramente di buona qualità, è in granuli. Va usata con parsimonia perchè è molto forte rispetto all'assafetida in polvere. E' consigliabile chiuderla in un vasetto ermetico per evitare di spargere l'odore in tutta la cucina.

Questa volta mi è arrivata assafetida di qualità scarsa, non ha lo stesso odore delle altre volte, contiene impurità e peli inglobati nei cristalli. E prezzo troppo alto, dovrei fare il reso.
