KeySmart Deep Carry Pocket Clip - Add On Accessory for KeySmart Key Holders

Fits perfectly onto the KeySmart iPro! I like that it clips to my pocket edge and my keys aren’t flipping around in there pocket. I do wish the metal could’ve been a little bit more thicker, but that may cause a bit of problem trying to fit it to the KeySmart

I’ve been using these primarily for on my belt pouches and as belt clips for various small hand tools, and they’re holding up very well. Had one break at the 180-degree curve upon hammering down a rivet, but all the others have been holding up to regular abuse for, oh, the last year or so of daily wear.My only real nitpicks are exactly that: I wish the screw holes were 3/16 diameter, I wish the clip were a bit longer so as to hold on even more reliably, and a bit thicker for the durability factor. None of these things are dealbreakers, though, and I intend to continue using these going forward.

Product arrived but was made for larger smart key distance. It worked well after drilling a hole to line up with shorter smart key model holder. Very strong material it took a tuff drill to pierce steel material . Works well now. End sticks out about 3/8 inch off center shorter due to modification now but now has hole for additional hook up at end. See photos.

So, I bought this knowing that I don't own a brand name keysmart product. I have a "knockoff" keysmart that is made out of real carbon fiber. I always thought it had the same dimensions as a real keysmart, but when this clip arrived, I realized it did not: the holes on the clip did not line up with the holes on my key organizer. No biggie, I figured, I'll drill a new hole and cut off the excess if it's sticking out. Thus began the most difficult drill job I've ever experienced. I'm not sure what this clip is made out of but it was nearly impossible to drill through. I think I ruined like 5 drill bits and spent a good half hour and two drill batteries trying to drill through this thing. Reflecting on this, this clip is probably indestructible. They should make tanks out of this stuff. The experience stood out to me so much that I felt I had to leave a review, even though I used the product on a competitors key organizer (sorry).

The website info is mixed in identifying this as ONLY for KeySmart Pro with interchangeably using the Pro and not. Moreover when you search for KeySmart clip, this listing is number 1. There are also numerous KeySmarts that are all the same size, with only the Pro being longer, due to the tracking.I like the idea and with a little modification in the form of making another hole, cutting, and rounding off the clip it can fit the standard KeySmarts; though I wouldn’t consider this an everyone can do it thing, though it could be completed with hand instead of power tools, with a lot more effort and energy.Frankly my 3 star review is for the add more than the product, which I like, as well as KeySmart apparently not making this for the standard key holders, or Amazon for not directing you better.

Love this makes it so much easier to carry without taking up so much pocket space

The metal is too thin and does not provide enough grip. I lost my keys once because the keys easily slip out of the pocket if something rubs up against the clip, like putting a backpack. After losing my keys, I recreated the same set up with the clip. And it happened again, putting on my backpack it rubbed up against my hip and the keys went flying out of my pocket. I noticed it this time because they made noise on the wood floor. If it happened outside, I could have lost my keys again. I usually carry a pocketknife with a deep carry clip in the same spot, and this never happened with my knife, which has a stronger clip.I think the design approach is wrong. Instead of a thin clip that is added onto the keysmart, it should be thicker and be one piece with the side of the keysmart so that it replaces one side instead of being added on. Making it one piece with the side of the keysmart would allow the clip to be thicker/stronger and at the same time add less bulk to the overall keysmart.
