Wonderful book
Cherese Akhavein's review May 17, 2021 · editit was amazingThe Coffee Corner by Amy Clipston is Book 3 in The Amish Marketplace Series and like the books before it it’s a wonderful read. What could be better than a good cup of coffee a delicious doughnut and a great story, well that is what you will get if you pick up a copy of The Coffee Corner and submerse yourself into Bethany Gingrich and Micah Zook’s story, and you may or may not find yourself craving a peppermint mocha and a strawberry glazed donut before you finished this book. It’s a wonderful story that will remind us to appreciate each day as if it were our last and to hold true to our faith because during the hard times we may need to pull from our reserve to get us through. Also we need to keep in mind that everyone has a story and sometimes that story is buried deep and takes time to process in order to move forward.I really enjoyed watching both Bethany and Micah find their way in this wonderful story line and look forward to the next book in the series which is The Jam and Jelly Nook. Happy reading

Excellent Book!
The first two books in this series were among my favorite books last year and this one is going on my list of favorites this year. I thought it was really good!I just love this series. I enjoy the relationships between the four cousins and how they support each other. I also appreciate the independence that each cousin shows by having a stand at the marketplace.Bethany and Micah are both struggling with labels that they believe have been put on them by other people. Bethany believes that men see her as too fluffy to consider for a wife and Micah believes he is a disappointment to his father. I like that it's realistic how Bethany and Micah begin to develop feelings for each other. I can feel Bethany's angst as she wants to spend more time with Micah to get to know him. I liked that Micah had to face consequences for a poor choice that he made. I also liked all of the reminders to Bethany to keep praying for Micah. "Simply" Sara Ann was a good addition to this story as well. I was sighing a happy sigh at the end of the story.Although this is the third book in the series, it could be read as a stand alone.

The Coffee Corner
Honestly I waited a few days before I posted, b/c I wanted to jump right on into another book. Now that it is Memorial weekend and I have time, I will post my review. I enjoyed reading the book, but I was expecting a lot more from the story. It kind of left me wondering what happened to some characters....... I thought maybe they were going to find out.....oh well, maybe I have been reading too many books. I did enjoy reading the book. J :-)

Uplifting
This was an emotional read for me. Mikah’s struggles in this book really hit my heart and the eventual resolution was very encouraging to my soul. If you’re looking for a reminder of God’s faithfulness and that he has a plan, this is the book for you.

It Takes Time To Trust
I loved reading this book! The way that it was written, really brings the reader into the characters lives ...in a personal way. I hope that these characters having a future to bring, through this authors hand soon. I love reading a good, well thought out book!

Not her very best, but still had me crying and smiling!
All of this authors work is worth reading, but I have to wonder if this is one of her earlier works. Bethany references using a mirror, and it’s the only Amish book I’ve read where the women carry purses, but maybe they do! Also super surprised that there was no mention of Micah asking Bethany’s dad for a red wedding gazebo. Still a very happy ending.

Simple Christian story
There was a heavy Christian theme and lots of prayer. Predictable love story .
