Received the starter today and installed it in a 2000 Seadoo GTI with the 717 motor. I’ve rebuilt many Seadoos over the years and normally only use OEM starters as aftermarket usually don’t hold up but decided to try this Premier Gear starter based on the company’s many positive reviews of their automotive starters and alternators.I didn’t open it up to check the internals but from what you can see on the outside the quality is very good from the casing to the bendix to the spring and shaft. The starter lined up perfectly for mounting and all the bolt holes were the right size. Once hooked up, the starter operated exactly as it should and turned the motor over very quickly, maybe even a little quicker than the OEM Denso starter.I didn’t see it mentioned in the listing, but I found online prior to ordering that Premier Gear’s warranty is 2 years which is also what the paperwork included in the package stated.So for about 20% of the cost of a new OEM starter, I think this is a great starter and would recommend. If anything goes wrong in the short term, I’ll update this review.

Shipping was a little slow, but came a day earlier than expected.

We went to put the starter back in and it didn't have threads in the unit so we had to modify nuts and bolts. That was disappointing. Great product otherwise
