Works seamlessly
The focus peaking system in the X-T1 is the most advanced system I've ever used in any viewfinder. For that reason, I enjoy occasionally using my Leica lenses with the X-T1 through the use of this lens adapter. The FP system in the X-T1 is so well designed it almost feels like cheating when you manually focus through its viewfinder. Fuji's now long line of lenses to fit the X-T1 are very fine lenses...they obviously auto-focus, and are generally easier to use on a X-T1 than using this adapter to mount a manual focus Leica lens. That said, for you Leica enthusiasts, this adapter is a fine piece of metal which affords you the ability to use your Leica lenses in a practically seamless fashion with an exceptional camera in the X-T1.The adapter itself is a breeze to mount onto the X-T1, and Leica lenses are just as easy to mount onto the adapter. Line it up, give it a simple turn, and it securely snaps in place. To dismount, press the button and turn. Also, there's a button on the wall of the adapter which, when pressed, "calibrates" the EVF to the focal length of the lens you're using so that focus peaking will work correctly. Very intuitive. Not once has this adapter (or a lens) gotten stuck or jammed when I've used it.As others have stated, with the APS-C sensor in the X-T1, Leica lenses will have a 1.5X crop factor. So, a Leica Lux 50mm will give you a focal length of 75mm on the X-T1...the 90mm Summicron reaches 135mm, and so on...A well-designed adapter which works flawlessly.

Great X Pro Accessory
I have had my X-Pro for about 9 months and love it. When I purchased it, I wanted to be able to use my M mount lenses, so I bought an inexpensive 3rd party adapter. It was a piece of junk. The adapter would get stuck on the camera every time, which made me bervous about damaging both my camera and lenses. So I bit the bullet and purchased the Fuji adapter. What a difference! It is so easy to use , The camera operates so well with it. This is a must have for anyone who wants to use their M lenses on a Fuji.

Excellent build quality
Purchased to fit my Leica lenses, a 50 and 90 to my X-T3. Still learning the camera. Will report back after some use.

Well-made novelty of questionable utility.
When the X-Pro1 and this adapter first came out, this seemed like a great idea: mount all your M lenses on your Fuji body. With the X-Pro1, accurate focusing wasn't easy until focus peaking was brought in. So it was almost a non-starter. But here are the practical realities:- In general, it's a lovely item that is thoughtfully designed (especially the push button for the lens menu) and beautifully finished. For that aspect, it's either this or the Novoflex. If you really need this item, the price will seem reasonable. I concur with other comments that the cheapo adapters available elsewhere are poorly made.- The throat of this adapter is very small (so as to hold the electronics); small enough to bind on some lenses like the 35 Summilux ASPH and the 21-35mm Hexanon Dual as they approach infinity. This comes with a gauge to show fit - for a reason!- Fujinon XF lenses (of which there are now many) perform better on the X-Trans sensor than almost any Leica lens will. They also focus faster and more accurately - and let you compose with the viewfinder running at a greater refresh rate. Because the X-Trans sensor does not have offset microlenses, many Leica wides have some degree of smearing off axis when mounted to a Fuji. This more than offsets any gains in the center of the frame. Ironically, the best use of this may be with a subsequent SLR lens adapter.- Using an adapter with M lenses gives you focal lengths that are effectively 1.5x longer. So your 15mm CV lens is roughly a 21mm; your 21mm is a 30mm, your 50 is now a 75 (probably the only bright spot), and your 90 is a 135. This may not seem like a big deal, but Leica wides become slow, distorted normal lenses, and Leica telephotos become lenses you can't handhold. There is a sweet spot for fast 50s, which become fast 75s, but they're still more awkward and slow in use than a 56mm Fujinon.- The Fujifilm adapter (at least my example) has a shorter-than-standard register, meaning that when the lens is set for its infinity mark, the lens is actually focused beyond infinity. This makes distance scales on wide-angle lenses unreliable.

Premium price for a premium product
This may seem like an expensive adapter; but it is so much more than a typical adapter. What you receive is a tiny all-metal, well-designed product that makes taking photos with M-mount glass so much easier. I have a couple of M-mounts from Voightlander and Zeiss and a few 20+ year old Leicas. None of them have modern electronics so there is no way for information from the camera to reach the lens or for the lens to send information to the camera. This adapter provides a proper fit for the glass, but also its own electronics and a little button on the side that will, when pushed, automatically pull up the proper menu setting to manually input the focal length and input custom lens distortion adjustments in camera. Once that's done, the EVF will automatically adjust to the appropriate focal length. I've also tried this with a Nikon F to Leica M adapter that I then connected to this adapter. Probably a terrible idea in real world use, but if you want to do it, it does works the same without any weird vignetting.Of course, this can all be done yourself with any $20-$30 adapter and then thumbing through the menu settings yourself. It doesn't take that much time and you'll be $170 richer. So, I wouldn't recommend this for shooters who rarely shoot with M-Mount glass on their XPro1 or XT1. But for those who have and shoot a lot of Leica M glass with the XPro1 or XT1 (don't know if it works with any other bodies), this will get your eyes off the menu sooner and back to the shoot where they should be. Huge time and shot saver in the long run.
