This Blue Bottle dark roast espresso is outstanding! The beans are fresh and aromatic right out of the bag. Once ground and brewed, they deliver a deep, rich flavor with smooth chocolatey notes and zero bitterness. It makes an excellent shot of espresso and also holds up beautifully in lattes or cappuccinos.I also appreciate that it's organic and ethically sourced — it makes the coffee experience feel even better. If you love strong, smooth espresso, this is absolutely worth the price.

The flavor is smooth and well-balanced, with subtle nutty notes and no bitterness. You honestly wouldn’t guess it’s decaf. The beans arrive fresh, grind easily, and brew beautifully well.I also appreciate that they use a chemical-free decaffeination process and maintain organic quality. While the price is a bit higher, the taste and quality make it worth it. If you’re looking for a premium decaf that doesn’t compromise on flavor, this is an excellent choice.

Ordered this September 9 of 2025. Received a bag "best by" August 14, 2026. I generally don't like to go two weeks beyond the roast date, but obviously given the logistics involved of buying this from Amazon I wasn't disappointed. I believe they do a one year Best Buy date from roasting at blue bottle.Just FYI, year old coffee is not any good. Like a Best Buy date should be about a month. The difference is pretty striking. If it's a natural process, you'll get a little bit more life out of it than a wet process. But this is just a blend so who knows what's in it.

Bought for my wife who is a coffee drinker. She likes the taste and its decaffienated in an environmentally friendly way. Will buy again

I recently received my first online order—a 6-pack of Bright, with “tasting notes of blueberry, golden raisin, and lemon zest”. As someone who has enjoyed many of your espressos in New York, I was truly excited to bring that same experience home. However, I was quite disappointed with what I received. The package arrived on 7/19/25, and I noticed the expiration date is listed as 9/28/25. This raised some concerns, as I had expected freshly roasted beans, especially given Blue Bottle’s reputation for quality and freshness. Unfortunately, the coffee I received lacks the brightness and flavor profile I’ve come to associate with your brand—it tastes dull and flat, with no noticeable aroma, acidity, or complexity.I’m returning the entire order, as it does not reflect the standard I’ve experienced at your cafés.I wanted to share this feedback in the hope it helps improve the consistency between in-store and online experiences.

Was looking for a nice light roast when I can't make it in to my local specialty roaster but this is not it.Tastes like a generic almost medium roast. Not floral or fruity at all. Don't buy if you're looking for a light single origin flavor profile.
