Great quality gloves!
Great gloves for sailing. Good quality, very durable. This is the second pair I’ve purchased.

Good gloves, They run tight.
Like other say, make sure you order one size larger than you normally use. Very firm fit in my case even with XXL, but I like that. Look pretty well made but should be $10 less to earn 5 stars. Unknown durability at this point, I'll try to remember to update in a month or so. Fair winds!

I was looking for something exactly like this.
Obv the one takeaway that's negative is dat the leather is tricky to handle since it needs conditioning oil to maintain its structure basically for max of 6 months then needs a recoat but other than that I love these gloves. <3

Runs small
Ordered these sailing gloves in the same size as my other brand sailing gloves. These are tight

Needs major changes to achieve "Adequate"
I have a lot of Harken hardware that is top notch gear. Too bad they subbed out their soft goods to an inept clothing manufacturer. I've had several brands of sailing gloves and these are by far the worst in design and implementation. We'll start with the only good I could find... They have leather and solid material in all the right places for chafe protection. This is a common failing of some other gloves where they put the weak stuff just at the wrong spot so the glove wears out prematurely.Design problem. The velcro has this really stupid additional tab on it so you pull the strap to remove your glove and it stops half way. Then you have to pick at the tiny tab of velcro underneath to get the strap fully separated so you can get your hand out. As if the glove was going to leap off your hand if the strap inadvertantly came off. Way to solve a problem that didn't exist and in so doing created several real issues.Production: I used the sizing guide and got the XXL. I take a tight Large in Gill gloves. By the guide these should have been oversized for me since I'm at the low end of the XXL range. But I guess it doesn't much matter if they can't consistently produce the same size glove. The pair I got had a very tight right glove, and a left glove that I'll need to break my thumb to get into. Before you go thinking I have different sized hands, I checked and the gloves have different sized openings. The left one won't let my right one in either. Nothing a pair of scissors and the SailRite won't fix, but really... piss poor manufacturing. So if you're looking at these as a way to save $10 over the Gill equivalent, consider the modification time you'll no doubt need. Whack the secondary tab off the valcro, maybe cut and sew an expansion in the entry so you can get your hand in (I like my thumb more than the glove.), and probably trim off all the cutesy tabs and loops they've added for no reason. (Some could be considered a safety hazard, though I'm sure they'd rip off if snagged in a winch since they manufacturing standards are so low.) Though if you want to hang your gloves on a keychain these would be super handy.Apparently these were designed by either a land lubber or a drunken sailor. I think I'll hack them up as needed and use them for winter driving gloves.

Definitely not Men's sizing, perhaps unisex
I usually take an XL in most every glove I've ever purchased, biking, rowing, work ski etc... these are so tight it's a struggle to get them on and my hands go numb long before the cold will ever get to them. Go a size up guy's this is unisex sizing.

Good gloves
Bought these for ASA certification classes. I bought XL and they fit great once I got them on. They are a bit tight at the cuff to get them on but once on there was no slip and they did what you would want. Good grip on the lines and they look like new after some heavy wind days that have shredded other sailing gloves I have had in the past. I would buy them again.

Size does matter
These are 3/4 fingers so don’t expect much warmth but your palms will stay warm. They are snug and I would recommend using the sizing chart. I was on the boarder between the two larger sizes and they fit snugly and require a little effort to remove but I would rather have that than sliding around and causing chafing. Might get some full fingers and 3/4 for those colder days and when the lines abs sheees are smaller
