This item broke on the very first use. There is a basic design flaw. The D-Ring breaks away from the least bit of pressure. The reason is that the hole where it goes into the screw is not a hollow hole. Instead, the "hole" is just an inward dimple in which the ring inserts. It is not nearly deep enough to retain the ring. This is a sub-par product.

I have numerous camera bodies, and am always looking for ways to cut costs, and these release plates help. They are identical to OEM parts and work perfectly with all of the Bogen Manfrotto tripods and heads we use at the studio. I will be ordering more!

these will work with the DMKFoto ball head quickrelease, although they are a little looser. If you can add some material like paper or sheet plastic to tighten them.

Fits my camera and an astronomy tripod. Low price, quick mailing, and it does what it is supposed to. Great.
