Yale Replacement Rim Cylinder, 6 Keys Provided, P-Polished Brass, Suitable for 38-57 mm Doors

I really liked these cylinders, and I live in the US. I was thrilled to find one with 6 keys (only two isn't enough when you can't copy). They work great, & fit perfectly.So why am I so happy, when others are not?Security.I LIKE that someone can't just copy my key! That makes me more secure, or at least I feel that I am.I've known people that had workmen take a key imprint, use it to make a key, then rob them.I've known people that had a relationship end badly. And although their key was returned, they later discovered the hard way that their ex still had a copy of their key, and a grudge.Without available blanks, it's unlikely to have unintended people with my key.I WISH 🙏🙏🙏 it was possible to order 2+ cylinders keyed the same (or order a cylinder to match one I already purchased). I've got way too many keys.

it worked on an old Yale lock like a charm (though the stem and screws are a bit long, must be things are thicker in U.K. than in U. S.), love the oversized keys. Beat the shipping speed to DC by half, would be happy waiting for much longer.

The lock itself is nice and installed well in my application. The lock works smoothly and meets all expectations. The only downside is that I need more than the six keys that came with it and I cannot seem to get blanks for this lock in the U.S. I've tried ordering from several UK based lock sites and the site either won't give me a price on shipping, or the site just won't work. If you don't need more than the six keys that come with it, or if you're located in the UK then you're good to go.

Dont buy this if you live in the USA, I have spent hours searching for key blanks in the US and you cant get them. I have contacted the UK where the lock comes from and they will not send me blank keys to the US.

Didn’t fit well in my door mechanism. Screws were too long making it a loose fit

I wanted a lock with a Standard Yale keyway. This lock is useless!!!

Not sure if my reviews are now aging out now -- I would have sworn I had reviewed this before, but...Inheriting a door with a Yale variant of the style of lock whose urban market was dominated by Segal for a years, only wanting to change the cylinder, I discovered that non-Yale cylinders could not be made to work -- there are multiple incompatibilities with the more usual cylinders, possibly deliberate, and jury-rigging one mismatch exacerbates others. So, get the right cylinder! I assume a person skilled in picking locks would go through this cylinder like butter but if the security is adequate for you then this is an excellent value which comes with lots of spare keys -- and if it's not, you are doubtless going to replace the entire lock.
