Excellent Disposable Survival/First-Aid Knife
Keep in mind I'm giving this 5 stars in all categories BASED ON WHAT IT IS. That is a disposable, lightweight and sturdy knife for survival kits and first-aid. The price is right too, you can get the black ones cheaper but the orange makes it easy to find. It will not replace a full-sized pocket knife, it doesn't lock and you chuck it when the blade gets too dull, keep that in mind. That said, it makes for a decent EDC knife for LIGHT USE; cutting string, opening packages, etc. I'm placing mine in all of my first-aid kits. The blades are ground to straight razor edge (thin grind), so very sharp, but because of this the edge isn't as robust as say a Stanley knife blade (utility grind). It will hold up nicely for most light cutting tasks, but if you think you will be relying on it to whittle tent pegs in a survival situation, think again. You could in theory restore the edge a bit with a fine whetstone but really for the price, just chuck and replace. This would be good in a first-aid kit, survival kit, glove box, purse, tackle box or even in your pants pocket. The riveted handle seems to be snug enough to keep the blade closed in your pocket but might loosen up a little with repeated use, so be aware. There is a steel spine that adds rigidity and strength to the blade, making it sturdier than you'd expect, but this is not going to take a lot of prying/chopping motion. It's for thin slicing/cutting.It's original purpose was an "emergency scalpel and utility knife-in-one" for the military. Use and chuck when no longer useful. It does that job and then some, I recommend this product.I definitely recommend this product.

Nice lightweight blades
I am into ultralight backpacking and recently discovered that my trusty Gerber pocket knife weighs a whopping 93 grams (3.28 oz)! I searched around for a lightweight alternative and came across these blades. While not as tough as my Gerber, these are a nice & functional replacement. They are razor sharp, but long-term durability may be an issue. This is fine for me because I rarely use a knife when I'm in the backcountry anyways. One blade weighs 7.6 grams on my scale. I bought the 5 pack for a great price (about $1.65/each blade after shipping) & plan on giving the extras to backpacking friends. Highly recommended for lightening up backpack weight. Thanks Derma-safe & Amazon!

Daily Carry
Much better than carrying a knife and even more functional. I use it daily and like the fact it is so small, durable and safe when properly used. Have made several purchases (in packs of 5).

Good Value
Just like a mini straight razor, and beyond razor sharp, blade doesn't flex, not always a bad thing but it can be brittle if it doesn't flex otherwise I'd say that these are cheap enough to suggest getting them just to have in a pinch and I've put them through the ringer as far as tests and they are still just as sharp as right out of the package shaved with one and was bleeding before I even knew I was cut lol they are so light it's literally like nothing is there VERY SHARP so be careful I can't say amazing sturdiness but I CAN SAY FANTASTIC EDGE and AMAZING PRICE!!! these are great gifts for sewing

Handy and sharp.
Replaced my old ones that were no longer sharp or easily sharpened. Arrived as adertised and sharp. Test will be how long they stay sharp over time and continued use.

Great little knifes
I got these to supplement my pocket knife. they are cheap, small and fairly durable. I stash them in my hiking gear, on in my truck and so on. Just in case I need something super sharp for a job I either don't want to use my knife on or if I don't have it handy.

Very sharp in a small package
I have used these in the past and not sure if it's a different model or just updated but the blades I just recieved are great. The back is filled so they don't go past flat when open. Blades are super sharp. Perfect for a back up blade or to carry at work to cut down boxes when I dont want to carry a heavy duty box cutter

My Go-To Blade
I have carried and used these blades for decades. They are so handy, and safe to carry. Extremely sharp. They have served me well in so many situations. They seem to be even sharper than the scalpel I have.
