Super Moss 26972 Spanish Moss Preserved, Coffee, 8oz (200 Cubic inch)

Favorite moss I’ve ever used for planting. Will definitely order more in the future if needed. The brown color blends very nicely in pots and baskets. The best part and the reason for 5 stars is it is a high quality with almost a “stretchy” feel to it so you you’re spreading it at the base of the plant stems, it doesn’t pull on them and it also doesn’t crumble into a million dusty pieces like some other mosses. Completely clean install. I used only one third of a bag between two large (14-20” diameter) indoor planters.

I got this product to keep my dog from eating the soil and it worked for that purpose. It seems to have reacted poorly with my potted mini-banana trees though. I think it keeps the moisture trapped too long on the surface and has caused fungus/mold/something to grow and kill my plants. They had been healthy for years prior to using this. Maybe there are some plants that this wouldn't happen with, but it definitely hurt mine.

Very good purchase. What can be said about preserved moss? Well, it was the color as shown and it worked for my pot project. So, I am happy. The price was very good!!

The coffee color is so natural, looks like pete (peat) moss! I'm thrilled!
