Light, hot, and easy
Pretty much as described - add boiling water and enjoy. Great flavor considering that it's premade and dehydrated. Definitely nice to have a little variety to the normal backpack food for sure.

Does the job but not great
I was super excited to try this, good reviews on line and love Vietnamese food. I am no stranger to dehydrated foods for camping but was trying to branch out. Just didn't taste very good to me. My husband liked it better than I did but the last thing you really want is to have bleh food at the end of a long hike and setting up camp. Oh well. Should have tested it before we left! Otherwise nice packaging, clear instructions. Little packets of lime--although VERY lime-y, add to the taste.

Uhh, it's like eating Limes.
This product tastes like straight up lime. Made it to spec, didn't even add the extra lime packets included. Literally just soupy lime. I definitely don't recommend.

Bland
Bring your own seasoning if you take this backpacking with you or you will be sadly disappointed when you eat your hot noodle water on top of a mountain.

Backpacker Beware!
I was really excited to try this meal during my backpacking trip in the great sand dunes last weekend. Some major problems (I made the double portion):1- You need a lot of water..requires 800 ml of water to cook, this is about double the amount of water I usually need for a meal. If you are taking this camping make sure you have a water source nearby to refill2- Be cautious of the nutrition - the double portion has over 2000 mg of sodium (most backpacker meals don’t have more than 1000 mg)..it is VERY salty..I spent the night feeling incredibly sick after eating thisI’ll be sticking with backpackers pantry and peak refuel in the future

Left an oily film in my mouth
This was just gross. I ate one bite and I thought I just bit into a lime. Then this really bad oily film consumed my mouth. I had to rinse my mouth with a ton of water after one single bit. The oily film didn't go away for quite a while.
