Expensive but worth it
If you need a fire extinguisher for your classic car, this is the type to get. If you use the other dry chemical type, it will just ruin your car. You might as well let it burn to the ground.

Lower cost
Priceed these at a number of different Aviation stores, and all were higher priced. This is perfect for experimental aircraft where weight and size is at a premium. Useful duration of the propellant is only one second less than the $250 version and also Halon is much preferred over the cheaper box store versions. The holder provided several different mounting options and paint and quality of assembly seems to be above average which is a minor thing but for me means a lot. Hope I never have to use it but it looks like quality from the outside.

Nice and compact
I wanted a fire extinguisher that wouldn't cause a big white mess if I needed to use it on my collector car.

Nice compact Fire Extinguisher
Nice size to have in a vehicle. No idea if it will put out a fire when needed. Hope I never find out. This is kind of like buying insurance, you won't know if you made a good purchase until the day you need it.

Small and Red.
This Halotron 1 is the best extinguisher, other than Halon 1211, for use on an aircraft cockpit fires. And it won't damage aluminum like dry chemical extinguishers will. A description of Halotron1 printed elsewhere says that it is a clean eco-friendly agent when compared to Halon 1211. (Of course when putting out a cockpit fire saving the ozone probably isn't your first concern). However, some litrature says Halotron 1 is actually pound per pound less effective than Halon 1211 so it usually will be found in larger, heavier extinguishers. That may be so but this sized extinguisher fits on the floor right in front of my cockpit seat and is actually a tad smaller than the 2.4 bottle of Halon 1211 it is replacing. Disclaimer: I'm just a pilot and not a fireman.

Works like it should
I sadly had to use it not even a month after the purchase, but thankfully I had it. I used it to put out an engine fire involving gasoline, it worked wonderfully and the best part is that it didn’t make anything worse since it vaporizes. The only mess is burnt insulation from the hood. It would of been a different story if it was a dry chemical. Now I have to get it recharged and good to go.

Airplane approved
This small extinguisher is perfect for my two place plane. It was easy to mount. Very happy with the quick disconnect mounting hardware. Halotron will not damage the aluminum should I ever have to use this.
