Maasdam Pow'R Pull 8035 Fence Pull Chain

Typical good quality, medium duty tool from Maasdam.. Fairly priced, made in USA. You get what you pay for. I have 10 of Maasdam's various models of comalongs/pullers. I bent a handle on one of them several yrs old. Maasdam gave me a new one, said it's warrantied for life.Home Depot where I bought several of them wasn't up to speed on returns/replacement. So I called Maasdam and they made good on it.

The large metal rings on each end are not welded. They both straightened out and fell off when just light tension was applied. We ended up throwing them away and using the ends of the chain. It worked ok in the end but no better than any length of chain. It does come with three flat plates that lock on to the chain but the same function can be had by just hooking into the middle of the chain. If I had to do it again, I would just get a six foot length of good quality chain from the hardware store and a couple small clevises.

Rings blew out like there was no weld. I was trying to pick up 140' of fence and it just gave with no movement. Thought something came unhooked. But shocked to find both rings blew out at the same time. Thanks China.I didn't need this for my fence building but the adjusters for the chain are nice. Was hoping it would save me time but now costing a return. Chain seems fine. But just going to stick to my 2 come-a-long system.My recommendation.. Buy some climbing rated 8mil prussic cord, and some rated webbing. It has saved me every time.

Did it’s job

I bought this for installing fencing on our new property. Only downside is we had to figure out how to hook it to the fence stretcher, because we're new to using both items. We guessed and it worked well. Sure beats trying to stretch the fence by hand. x.X

Worked great for 5ft. chain link fence install.
