Ar-Rawdhah: Vol 3: fi al-Qira'at al-'Ashr Paperback – September 21, 2020

This a very fine and clear presentation of the Islamic Qira'at tradition. There is a brief biography of the Reciter and then clear presentation of the recitation with tables to show the differences with Hafs' recitation so even a beginner who has ijaza in Hafs recitation can appreciate them and get some sense of how the rules differ in a very systematic manner. I have compared it with some works in Arabic that also claim to be introductions but the arrangement in this set is very clear. Some one who has no mastery in a single Recitation may find this work not very useful.I highly recommend this work for people who are looking for a comprehensive yet clear introduction or reference to Qira'at. Since this is an independent publication the Arabic fonts are very simple nonetheless easy to understand and read. Finally there might be typographical errors in the Arabic itself which I cannot check due my lack of expertise so any work like this should be studied with an expert and cross checked with other references.

There are limited resources in English for studying and teaching the science of Qira'at. This three volume set is a valuable resource for both teachers and students alike!
