This is the best. Don't scrimp on your tools and you won't be sorry.
No vacuum leaks. The cheap ones I bought before all were unnecessary trouble. Should have bought this one instead of wasting time and effort because of those cheap ones I had bought before. This is one of those items where you really need to buy the best tools or else you'll cuss about trying to find leaks you shouldn't have. This is the best tool that you really need, you'll forget that it cost more than the others anyway. Buy this one.

Finally something that holds a vacuum for mini split
I needed this to vacuum a mini split. After trying cheap ones that didn't say vacuum rated, and even ones that were vacuum rated, this was the only one that both held a vacuum well, and we able to remove / insert the valve stem without any difficulties. It costs a lot more than the cheaper alternatives but those simply won't hold enough of a vacuum to vacuum your mini split

Remove that valve core!
Very good quality tool, a must have for a mini split install or repair. You must remove that valve core to get a good deep vacuum. And in my case, I also had a leaky valve core, I had to replace that valve core. This tool made the job easy.

Works well, but I suggest buying a few more parts to use for mini split vacuum.
Used to install a mini split. Fit perfectly and the schrader removal tip fit nice and tight onto the schrader valve. Appion then expects you to retract the schrader and close the valve and remove the back part of the tool to connect a vacuum line. The issue with that is that once it is pumped down, and the vacuum line is removed, a small amount of air will be introduced into the system when the schrader valve is re-installed. I suggest adding a tee and a valve to the gauge port so that the schrader stays inside the tool and under vacuum the whole time. Never close the valve on the Appion tool.I am happy that the seal on the back of the appion tool was able to hold great vacuum during the evacuation and I was able to then re-insert the schrader maintaining good vacuum the whole time. Nice product, though I think they should redesign with a second port and valve near the gauge port to use it as I did.
