Savor Each Stitch: Studio Quilting with Mindful Design

This isn't your traditional quilt pattern book. It reads more like a giant essay on quilt design ... the book is beautiful to look at and inspirational to read through, though. There's something very organic and modern about this book, and I like it on my coffee table, as it provides a really calming read at the end of a long and tiring quilting session. It's sort of like mint tea. There aren't a lot of patterns I want to make from here, but that's not the point. The author is much more interested in getting you to think and be inspired to make your own things than follow what she did.

I loved this whole book. After checking out at the library, I knew I had to have my own copy.The author has put together beautiful photography as well as her creative philosophy as a way to inspire a hands-on, imperfect, relaxing approach to quilting.I want to do so many projects in here!

Great collection of modern quilt ideas! And a great coffee table book if you aren't a quilter!! I took a class with Carolyn at Quiltcon West in Pasadena, CA in Feb 2016, and we made Facing East from this book. Loved Carolyn, the class, the quilt, and now I want to make everything else in this book!

Gorgeous, inspiring quilting book. Carolyn is bringing a wonderful fresh perspective to the quilting industry. I love that the projects in this book are modern, but in a different way from any other modern quilting books at the moment.

Love it! She's so talented. It's very interesting reading if you're ready to try designing quilts on your own or following her patterns for contemporary quilts. Make it part of your quilting library. I did.

Beautifully composed book. Projects are more unique than those found in other sewing books. Can't wait to get started on some of these. Love her style and her fabrics!

Lovely book with very nice lattern

What a total disapointment this book is . I love carolyn friedlander fabric but this book is rubbish . Too much waffle and not enough contents . The quilts are very samely and not house , shirts etc which is what you get when you google this book. Dont waste your money !!!
