Decent sound for the price. I plugged the jack into my car sterio, the USB into a cigar adapter, and played pandora from my phone and the battery life works great.

I purchased this device for one simple reason, which was to bring my Ipod into a new era. I’ve been trying to go cordless for the past year or so and this device will surely help with those older devices. I’m happy with my purchase and now I can sync my Bluetooth headset with my Ipod.I did experience some audio interruptions but I’m wondering if that was because I was near my dual band router while testing it out. It’s been raining here for a couple of days so I can’t get out and use it while I’m walking to see if the interruptions continue. It appeared I could go some distance away from the device before it disconnect.The device is very small and doesn’t appear to be cheap. It does come with a 3mm jack audio (male at both ends) and USB charging cord. Not sure if it was fully charged or not but it worked without having me charge it prior to use.I didn’t really have any trouble syncing the device in transmission or receive mode. But holding down the button (to setup/pair) seemed longer than I expected. So a few times I had to power down and restart the operation because I didn’t hold the button long enough.When in transmission mode and you are trying to connect to a device like a Bluetooth headset, be patience and let it do its job. It automatic, but a couple of times for me in the beginning I didn’t think it was working but it does. It just takes some time with you are auto-paring like that.This device is very handy in being both a transmitter and receiver. Basically you have the best of both worlds and you can link 2 of these units together (one being a transmitter and the other as the receiver). For me I already have a receiver like this. It was purchased a while back so I could convert some wired speaks over to the Bluetooth era. So at this point I’m not sure how much use I will get out of it in the receiver mode. I do have to say make sure you know which mode you are in prior to powering it on. It’s not recommended to switch the mode while it’s powered on. So while testing I wasn’t paying attention to that detail and I couldn’t figure out why the unit wasn't syncing.The only negative I have about this product and it’s not really a big issue but the audio cord that is provided is quite long. For me I’m just sticking this unit and my Ipod in a pocket and the cord is quite bulky because of its length.Overall I’m happy with this product and I would recommend it to anyone. Yes you may only need a transmitter or a receiver. But get this one and you have both worlds.Finally I did receive this product at a discount/free in exchange for an honest/unbiased review. My feedback would be the same no matter if I purchased this product at the price Amazon is offering or at the discount price that I received.

The seller has modified description and is now more accurate. The unit worked but did not meet my expectations. The product description previously said "Can work while charging." Which is why I purchased this particular item. Unfortunately this is NOT true. This product automatically disconnects the paired device when USB power is connected. This one problem makes this useless for car trips longer than seven hours. If your required use is longer - you are out of luck, at some point you're going to have to plug it in to charge, and the instant you do - it turns off. Complete waste of money and time for long use requirements.I have been in contact with the seller regarding this. The seller has modified their product description, and now they clearly state that this DOES NOT WORK WHILE CHARGING.I returned my purchase and Amazon accepted/processed my return quickly so no problems there

I ordered this product for use in my car. Looking at the picture provided in the description, in my opinion, the device looks durable and potentially protected with a sturdy rubber housing. It does not specify a rubber housing in the product description. I guess I had high hopes. Out of the box the device appeared to be in good order. But to my dismay, once out of the bubble wrap I found the housing to be made of thin plastic and felt somewhat fragile. Pushing of the buttons created a clicking sound I have not heard on similar products I have used that were built well. Item charged quickly and all lights red/blue operated properly including the flashing sequences expected before and after pairing. Plugged it into my car's aux port and all was well. The new BT technology in this relatively small device is awesome! All ranges of sound were nicely enhanced on my already premium Bose sound system, especially in the low (bass) spectrum that the new A2DP technology is developed for. In short the new HIGHER quality sound had me just wanting to play some old school Snoop Dogg to hear what I've been missing all of these years. Quickly connected phone calls incoming/outgoing to my iOS and Android. The 3.5mm plug however is very sturdy and good quality. All was good until the battery finally died which took almost a week (battery life very nice). Here's the bummer... device failed to charge back up. The red charging indicating light never came on. Attempted multiple charging configurations, USB wires, plugs and adapters over a few days and no luck. Would've easily given it 5 stars, but can't go above one without it working. I will definitely get another one with the same technology properties, but not this brand or model. While I wait on another one it's back to Guns N Roses and cassette tapes!
