Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny - Unrelenting Edition /Switch

Missing a lot of the Disgaea magic
I've been a fan of the series since the very first game, and have played each one to completion on multiple occasions. I came in to this edition excited, but came out of it disappointed. A lot of what makes Disgaea great seems, if not quite missing, just not right. The story, while fine, just lacks a bit of the humour of previous versions. The simplifications in some of the gameplay elements are a miss, and the graphics just don't feel right in 3D.The game isn't bad by any measure, newcomers to the series will likely find plenty here to have fun with, and fans of the previous games will get some enjoyment out of it, but compared to previous games, it's a downgrade, and I can't help but wish for what could have been.

A good srpg but has some issues
Right this is the first disgaea game iv ever bought so my initial thoughts were let’s give this a go and see it looks and plays. To be fair it’s not a bad game by any means in terms of story or content but in order to run the game smoothly you have to sacrifice graphical quality and run it on performance mode which make it look like a water painting overall though it is still fun to play.

Switch isn’t powerful enough.
It struggles to run on switch, apparently the Japanese region only version runs amazing. They’ve also cut out majority of the characters but it’s ok. You can pay to buy more unique ones via DLC…
