Les Vampires Oracle Cards: Ancient Wisdom and healing messages from the Children of the Night

This book of Oracle Cards is stunning, beautiful and I connected with it immediately. Worth every penny. And if I remember correctly, they weren't very expensive. I've had very insightful readings with this deck. Plus... Vampires!

I was immediately strongly drawn to these cards. They came in a heavy cardboard box with a dark blue lining that reminded me of a coffin's lining. The book is 135 pages long and doesn't skimp on the history of the cards, the catalyst for their creation, the motivations of the vampires, and the several layouts for readings. The basic past-present-future reading is called The Trinity: Underneath, The Heart, The Promise. So much more realistic than past-present-future. Reversed card interpretations are called a "curse." This could be frightening to those used to airy-fairy sweetness and light oracle cards. The "curse" can be lifted/avoid by correct action. Each card also communicates a blessing. There is some Christian imagery, but the cards are also steeped in magical imagery and terms like "grimoire" and "Book of Shadows." This deck is absolutely wonderful for those interested in pagan and Christian and mythology and who aren't afraid of the dark. The art is exquisite and not at all boring or repetitive. I've only used it once, but I love it. I highly recommend it. I took a pic of the box, guidebook, artwork on the back of the cards, and several of the cards to hopefully help you make your choice.

I absolutely adore anything Lucy Cavendish creates so this is no different. I have been collecting decks of all kinds for 30+ years. I’ve had to replace a lot of my collection so here I am! I absolutely love this oracle deck & guidebook!As always, the cards come in a nice study box with the least amount of extra packaging possible. The cards are bigger than tarot cards but I have small hands & can shuffle these cards easily, especially vertical overhand works really well. The card stock is amazing, like almost all of Lucy’s decks. Very sturdy & big enough to showcase the artwork.The guidebook is amazing. There’s always information in the beginning & Lucy Cavendish always provides a lot more info than the typical guidebook, which is one of the reasons she’s my favorite. Also her meanings are all amazing & very well-written.The art by Jasmine Becket-Griffith is so great. It’s very dark whimsical which I love & pairs very well with the theme of this oracle. The artwork is really beautiful & also pairs well with each message. The artwork also helps me connect really well with the cards.I just love having this deck in my collection. It gets a lot of use. It’s a favorite “daily pull” deck of mine for sure.

I'm shocked that this was as good as it it is! I don't do dark "vampirey" things. Like....at ALL! I have over 70 decks, and am scrupulous about what vibrational influences I allow into my field. But my guides told me to " seek a different source of light" and I was told I needed to explore the darkness to get more;clarity and the answers I was seeking. So I purchased this deck, and expected to hate it. But I didn't ! Like other Lucy Cavandish decks, the book is well written, valuable and insightful. The artwork is NOT my taste at all, but is informative and useful if you are someone who reads the images too. Basically, these cards have layers of meaning. They are excellent. I now use them whenever I have a deep , complex problem to solve or dark emotional issue to address.

Some oracle decks see a great deal of use on a regular basis. You may pull out a favorite deck that shows wear from weekly or even daily readings. It becomes like a lifelong friend, understanding and intimate, that you can open up to anytime. This is not one of those decks. In all honesty, that's not a bad thing! This deck will not be one of your regulars. Instead, the best way to approach this deck is when you are confronted with a problem that may be bringing out the worst in you. Les Vampires is also perfect for shadow work; Facing those demons that lie deep within ourselves and perusing an understanding of your dark self rather then ignoring it. The art is lovely and appropriate. If you are comfortable with walking into the shadows of yourself on occasion then pick up this deck. It's becoming rarer as the nights go by.

I feel like these cards were meant for me. I blessed them differently than the book suggests but I feel like the hour and a half I spent doing that allowed them to bond with me better. I love the energy they have. The artwork is beautiful. The book is very helpful, though most of the time the cards and I are so tuned to eachother that I dont have to use the book at all. This is the first deck I have ever owned and I absolutely love them! They have yet to let me down. My only issue is that they are difficult to shuffle, but its not something so bad to make me deduct a star. Amazing.

Gorgeous cards, really intuitive readings from the evocative art, but a star off for flimsy cardstock. Take care in shuffling and storing these. They're too lovely to spoil by handling roughly.

I have been using these cards on my YouTube channel, Gypsy Insights by Michelle, and I have found them to be highly worthwhile. The messages on these cards are very useful when dealing with clients who are struggling. The artwork is beautiful and the messages are consistent with what we pick up when we use these in conjunction with other decks.
