Pretty hard. Makes you think beyond the usual puzzle answers.

Tis one is just right. Not too easy and too difficult. I am more than half way through it.

Seven contributors make up this collection of acrostic puzzles; six play fair, the seventh either does not know how to construct a workable puzzle -- or is too involved with being clever to offer challenging but useable clues. For example, what is a seven letter word for "Marathon men"? Would your first tries include "Kenyans"? How about two words, eight letters for "unbelievable"? The answer, "won't wash", would be ok for a crossword puzzle, but when most of the clues are equally idiosyncratic, it's difficult to find a starting point for an acrostic.The puzzles by the other six contributors range from too easy to moderately challenging. Puzzles are printed on both sides of the page, (in contrast to the series by Morris, which uses one side only, leaving a rather thick piece of paper with one side blank.) The paper used does not suck the ink out of your pen. Type and grid are large enough for the nearsighted. Resulting quotations mildly interesting. A pleasant time waster.

This book was really challenging - many of the words I haven't even heard of. Almost impossible to do without help.

These Quote Acrostic Puzzle books are educational and challenging. Being a crossword lover, these bring a new level of satisfaction and learning. Although I may have looked to the internet for some answers, I always enjoyed the final quote within the puzzle. I recently purchased Volume 10.

I enjoyed this book of acrostic puzzles! I really appreciated that they weren't laden with clues from the entertainment industry. There were some, but not too many. They variety of clues (word definitions, geography, political figures, entertainment, etc.) was good and the level was not too hard. I would have given 5 stars but there were a couple puzzles with errors that made it difficult for me to complete. Overall a good choice!
