Simple to install and work great.
I use this with a Kasa smart plug to provide a dry contact closure. The case is well-made and looks very nice. It was simple to install and works great.

Perfect for use with a pellet stove !!!
I added a UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply) to my pellet stove for power outages. But it became obvious that with the power out, that the thermostat needed to also be shut off so the stove would stop dropping pellets and continue burning. This power relay was installed in series with just one of the thermostat leads so it would open circuit the thermostat when the ac power fails. It works perfectly for that !! So when the power fails, the thermostat circuit is opened and the pellet stove stops making heat, therefore shutting itself down in about 15 minutes. This keeps my home from filling with smoke. Which is seriously dangerous. This power relay is well built and priced right !!

Alexa Fireplace Control
My fireplace switch just controls low voltage signal wires, like doorbell wires. Can’t install a Wemo switch there. So I used the fireplace blower circuit...installed the Wemo switch there and this relay plugged in the outlet under the fireplace. Removed original switch wiring and made jumpers running to the relay normally open contacts. Works great! Remember, this relay does not pass AC voltage through. The AC sensed at the relay only flips the switches on and off. The relay contacts are completely independent and free of sensing voltage. The N.O. and N.C. switches change state when AC voltage at the outlet is present or not. Great little Relay!

Great product for monitoring presence of A/C and activating relay.
I like the quality of the Digital Loggers products. Like the others, this seems to be built very well with a nice rigid case. That said, I guess I didn't understand what I was buying. I thought this would let me control an A/C powered device from a signal level source (ex: +5V from an Audrino, or such). This device is just an SPDT relay that engages when A/C is present at the receptacle it's plugged into (it comes with a short power cord that allows you to plug it into a receptacle to be "monitored"). When power is lost, the relay disengages. There is no other interface to activate the relay -- it it hardwired to the A/C power cord. Access to the SPDT side of the relay is provided through three good sized screws, so you can connect your load across the relay (ex: the signal to lower the video screen when the projector is powered up). This device does not output any signal; the screws connect straight up to the relay contacts.

My fireplace is smart!!!
I've been wanting to install some kind of remote control for my fireplace for years, but hadn't gotten around to it. While I was changing some of my light switches to smart switches I decided I needed to look into turning my fireplace into a smart fireplace. Somewhere on some website I found this recommendation. It was so easy. I split the wires going to the regular switch and connected the split to the relay. Then I plugged the relay into a smart plug and programmed it. Now I sit back and tell Alexa I need to relax and my lights all dim, the background lighting comes on, and the fireplace lights up. And even better, after 30 minutes the fireplace goes off automatically. So if anyone forgets to turn it off, no worries.

Works on only low amperage stuff
I tried this for inverter to back up my freezer. It works fine until freezer compressor comes on, then it trips. Can't handle the surge. I bought a different one since

This was a great find .. hope it’s well made
If this switch lasts, it will be a great deal. Really difficult to find something like this for anywhere near the price. Used this to turn off the low voltage cable on my indirect water heater at vacation home. I plugged it into a GE Zwave outlet that is controlled by Veralite. Its wired it in reverse of what might seem logical - “On is Off”. If the switch fails or the internet is down, all anyone has to do to make the water heater function normally is pull the plug out of the outlet. Only other thing to do is add skills to Alexia for voice control On/Off. One note that wasn’t clear to me... the “RESET” button only works if you have it wired to the “on when its on” mode - works like a typical switch. Necessary to unplug/turn off electric to make it “closed when switch not powered” as I used it to make it fail to closed.

Great Product
I've been searching for some time for a device that would allow me to run two sump pumps off the same backup power source, but limiting only one to operate at a time. The backup power source can't handle the surge current of both at the same time. And I needed a way to inhibit one while the other was operating. This relay fit the bill perfectly! The float closing on one pump (starting that pump) drives the trigger side without any additional circuitry. And all I had to add was a piggy back trigger line (the exact same used for a float), but attached to the normally closed terminal switch on the relay that feeds the other pump. The other pump still retains its own float trigger. When the first pump switches on, the NC goes open disconnecting the second pump from power. When the first pump switches off, the open goes back to closed, allowing the second pump to operate.

Looks like good build quality. Spliced into my fireplace thermostat wires, (can be splice in anywhere between fireplace and existing switch/thermostat). Plugged into a smart plug and now I can say "Alexa, turn on fire" and voila! Fire! Works great and is half the cost and a fraction of the size of units with wifi built-in. Would recommend if you want to voice activate a dumb fireplace.

Works as it should. Used it to plug a smart outlet into my gas on/off fireplace and can now turn it on or off with wifi. Simple and easy to use. Doesn't come with any instructions and shipping was a couple days later than most things I buy on Amazon.
