As good or better than Snap On!!!
Received this set a few days ago. Comparing this set with my USA made Craftsman set that I've had for many years it's like a big brother side-by-side with a younger brother. The SK wrenches are quite a bit larger than the Craftsman wrench of the same bolt size. I see this as a statement of the quality of SK tools compared to other tool makers. Even the high polished chrome finish looks superior to the same finish on the Craftsman wrenches. On to the movement of the tool. The ratchet movement of the SK wrenches feel like a highly precise mechanism with very tight tolerances and a very smooth movement. Length of travel between teeth engagement is superior to the Craftsman wrench. IMO these SK wrenches are top quality, and for this price they're a better value than Snap On. I know making this claim will raise doubt with some people. But, I can say this with no uncertainty having used Williams, Blue Point, and Snap-On tools for many years on the job. I have no doubt these SK tools will out live me and provide many years of reliable use as they are passed down to my son and on to his son.

Quality
Excellent tools, on par with the big name brands but less expensive. Professional quality for many years of use.

Good concept, not durable
Worked fine at first, and honestly this was an amazing idea due to the unmatched swing arch. I bought for the 6 point ratcheting wrench portion to prevent slippage but these suck, any sort of resistance on the 13mm or smaller causes it to start stripping teeth. I am a mechanic by trade so I do use my tools every day, but I need my tools so I dont abuse them, SK used to be a for mechanic tool and these do not hold up. Also the open end tolerances seem to be a bit large compared to Matco and Snap-on wrenches. IMO, wayyyy to expensive when theres a ton of other brands that have a quality tool that works.

Fine tooth!!!
These wrenches are really nice! Prior to buying these I read several reviews that talked about defects in the finish. I observed no defects in mine. I own several S & K tools and know them to be a fine, made in USA brand. The arc swing on them is super tight! I have never used a gear wrench like this before. You barely have to move it to get it to ratchet. The only draw back is I wish the boxed end was 12 point instead of 6. I also am curious to see how the ratchet will hold up under use. We do a lot of heavy truck repair and the tools get really greasy. I’m concerned dirt and grime will work its way into the paws on this very fine tooth ratcheting system. Time will tell, but as of now very impressed.

I'm reaching for wrenches lot more often again with these instead of sockets.
Finally a nice American made tool that has no slop in the ratchet and a sturdy 6 sided option. The chrome finish is excellent, and I'm finding that I trust them enough for any ratchet application without worrying that I'm going to break it. If I have access I don't even reach for a socket.

Chinese but not junk
I was angry that I got the Chinese ones. The title is misleading. With that being said, still really good wrenches. The 6 pawl design makes tight ratcheting a breeze. The open just fit well. The chrome is descent but definitely looks like a Chinese tool, hard to describe it, it just has a look. The only issue using it is it’s a thicker wrench, so it might not fit in all the tight spaces. I would say these wrenches are worth the sale price or maybe half the normal price. I haven’t had any issues with them at all. Year update: if they charged half the price I’d highly recommend, or if it was still USA made. I was skeptical but they really have held up. Even the open end never slipped on me.

Love these tools
I love these tools. They are a little longer than standards combination wrenches, which gives a little extra leverage, which is great. I can also see where the extra length would be an issue but I haven't run into that yet. The ratcheting side is very smooth. Fantastic. Love it. Very short arc makes it easy to use. I don't have another set of ratcheting wrenches to compare them too but the ratchet end doesn't seem to thick or fat, so it shouldn't get in the way too often. It is naturally fatter than a standards box end wrench, so if the nut/bolt is very close to a obstacle, you may not get the ratchet around over the nut due to the obstacle. When replacing a fan clutch, I did have to use the open end side for a bit to get the head of the bolt in far enough to the the box end under the fan clutch and over the head of the bolt. Not a deal breaker, you just have to know that going in. Don't over loosen the bolt or the tool will be trapped. They seem very strong. The finish on the tools is fantastic and cleans up easily. Time to save up for the other set.

Every wrench had an imperfection...!!!!
After all the positive reviews I was so excited to get these SK wrenches today.....but you can imagine my disappointment upon inspecting them. Almost every ratcheting boxend was off centered. Take a look at the pictures and you’ll see that the chrome is thicker on one side. I even used a micrometer to confirm this because I didn’t believe what I was seeing. Then I found others with flat spots on the body of the wrench underneath the chrome. I was really looking forward to these especially since they were made in the USA. Going to try and have this set replaced because maybe it was bad luck and this was just “that set”... But if you have this set already, take a good look at them.!!!
