Comes with all you need to replace
Very positive surprise the filter that comes with all you need to replace an old one. Fit is perfect and I replaced my old filter after about five years and a new one makes a major difference in cooling.

Media replacement
Media is precut so installation is removing the back of the cooler, 2 screws. Then removing the old media and replacement with the new. Difficulty was that the plastic 'screws' that go thru the media kept bending, either not going thru or crooked. I replaced the plastic screws with SS bolts, washers and nuts. Media replaced, cooler working well again.

Hessaire rocks
The quality of hessair products is excellent. I love their evaporative coolers and media like this. Fit is perfect, and cooling results are spectacular out here in the SoCal desert where I live.

Things they don’t tell you about installing your new cooler pads.
Begin your pad replacement by going to the Hessaire website and watching their installation video. Begin your installation of new pads by removing the back panel as they describe. Note that the nut securing the fan has left hand threads (righty/loosey -lefty/tighty! Remove the old pads by loosening the plastic tabs and then pushing the pins out from the inside of the cooler. Now the part that they don’t tell you is that you will have to notch the right pad at the bottom (see attached photo) and you will also have to notch the rear pad to allow for full range of the float arm (see photo). Using a Shish kabob stick or something similar to make pilot holes for the securing pins will make installing the pins easier. Also installing an in-line calcium filter will help eliminate calcium buildup on your new filters. Have patience and have fun and enjoy doing something productive with your time!!!

Good Value
After five years, it was time to replace the original pads in my patio evaporative coolers. I haven't installed them yet, but they should function well.
