Royal Griddle and Grill Cleaning Screens, Package of 20

Does the job
I am a sous chef and my boss bought a horrible beat up worn out griddle. It was up to me to bring the surface back to life. So I bought this and a grill pad and a grill pad handle. Sandwiched together with the screen in contact with the grill and some oil applied to a cold grill scrubbing front to back with a lot of pressure gets the job done. Now I am giving this a high rating because of the horrible condition of the grill and it did the job. The screen got right down past years of corrosion. It had rust and was delaminating in parts. Once 98% of the grill had been screened down bare with this, I finished the job with the grill pad and again a little oil, vegetable to be exact. In an hour I had it looking like a mirror. Then heated up to about 200 degrees f I poured a gallon of Sprite on the grill to turn it a bright color. One screen did an 8 square foot griddle flipped over half way through. If there is a lot of rust expect to use more. Once this is done don't screen more than about once a week in a high volume restaurant or as little as once a month in a low volume one. Scrub pads by themselves just won't do the trick. Also this one is the real deal. There are some people selling low quality screens on the internet and they will wear out in a tenth the time. You can also use these for stainless steel pots in rough shape without the handle so they follow the contour. If you have one griddle of similar size you can expect this package to last you a year with moderate to high volume as long as you remember that you don't really want a mirror finish every day unless all you're doing is bacon and eggs or pancakes in which case your grill shouldn't need that much screening to begin with.

great
I use them in the kitchen and cut a small piece and it lasts months. I use it inside the toilet to remove hard water stains, rust etc.

Amazing
I have hard water and rust stains in my tub, sink and toilet bowl. I've used every chemical cleaner and nothing worked. I used one of these screens and my toilet bowl and sink look brand new after one minute of scrubbing!!!!! These also did an adequate job getting stubborn soap scum off the walls in the tub. To clean the hard water and mineral deposits off the faucets, I sliced a lemon in half and directly scrubbed the shower head, spout and faucet, it worked very well (but the lemon had no effect on the tiles, sink and toilet bowl). I am very pleased. Also, I worked in a well known fast food place back in the 90s, we used these screens to clean the hamburger grill and there was nothing like a brand new screen to get the grill perfectly clean, accompanied with a green pad and the handle.

Great product
These were recommended to me by a friend for cleaning the toilets here in Arizona where the hard water is a big problem. These did the trick in removing the hard water stains.

It’s a mystery
I’m still at a loss to know why I need this under the grill pad, and I still use a grill brick first, but my Viking cold rolled steel griddle looks great, so I’ll just keep using it. I guess one advantage is that you can rinse or wash this & reuse until it’s spent (?). Maybe I could ditch the messy grill brick, but I use that on the advice I got from a restaurant griller; first the grill brick, then the steel wool pads - nothing about a screen.

Great for toilet bowl rings!
I can't say how they work for their intended purpose but worked great to remove hard water ring in toilet bowl. So much quicker than a pumice stone which sometimes would leave scratches. Very pleased with my purchase.

Works beautifully!
I used these with the Scotch green scrub pad with the flat handled applicator to clean my stove griddle. I turn the griddle to about 250 degrees, use about 3 parts water to 1 part white vinegar. Caution; do not wear gloves or you will not be able to gauge the steam output.
