RitTie-Dye Kit, Turquoise, Yellow & Fuchsia

Bought as a gift and they love it !

Don’t bother using the gloves in the box. They are thin, flimsy, cheap.. if you’re trying to protect your nails/hands, buy your own gloves. Also cater to having multiple things to dye because once you shake it up the one time, you have a short time to use it all or you kind of either end up wasting the dye. It does fade when you wash it, even if you let it sit 6+ hours. Trial and error though kind of project.

I was presently surprised at how great the t-shirts turned out. The colors are vibrant, easy to use and not as messy as I anticipated - note that I did this project with a 6 and a 4 year old!We did a swirl pattern and a diagonal fan fold on 2 children size shirts and 2 draw string bags; there was enough dye left for a couple of other shirts. How many items you can make obviously depends on the size of the shirts but also on the pattern you choose.We followed the steps as indicated - at the end, rinse, rinse, rinse and rinse some more. We also let the shirts soak in water with white vinegar to let the colors set before washing/drying them in the machine. Have had no problem with color bleeding and they remain vibrant after several washes.Highly recommend it!

This was easy enough to do and I'm satisfied with the results except their gloves must leak! I had dye on the tips of both thumbs, pointer and middle fingers even though I wore their gloves! Other than using your own latex gloves it's fine.

Pros:* The shirts turned out great* There were plenty of rubber bands to band up all three shirts before we started dying* With half of the dye sent, we dyed one adult shirt, one toddler shirt, and one onesie, so you could easily do 5 adult shirts with the amount included* The colors are pretty vivid* The rubberbands were good quality and not brittleCons:* The kit was supposed to include red, yellow, and blue, but included 2 yellow and one red* The gloves included in the kit didn't protect against the dye* The instructions on the rit dye site are much better than what they include in the kit - there are instructions that get it done in less than 6 hours thereIf I had to choose a kit again, I probably wouldn't pick this one, but it got the job done for my daughter's spirit week tie dye shirt

Dying fabrics can be a challenge, but tie dying is meant to be fun! This kit made the tie dying process easy without needed additional supplies. Rubber bands, bottles, and gloves were all included in this kit (much appreciated!) I was skeptical at the price point, thinking I would only be able to dye 2-3 garments. However, I was able to dye about 5 pieces, adult & child mixed, with very vibrant colors.The colors did run together like I have experienced with other dyes. I highly recommend for your small, quick tie-dye projects!

Great, worked very well, we did 6 t-shirts and used less than 1/3 so wasted a fair bit.
