Comes with a tiny cotton ball to protect whoever’s getting pierced from getting poked but I use my own stuff to prevent that.These are great needles, I’m no professional but i’ve done over 25 piercings now and this box comes with ample different size gauge needles making it useful for different ear piercings, nipples, nose, and lips. The jewelry i use normally easily fits through the opening of the needle making it easier to insert the jewelry once pierced.I’ve never had any complications during of after piercing anyone with these needles
