Brilliant Device
Gets me some amazing shots. Much better than a mount which mounts on the kite itself, as that is too far away. Also better than a board mount as that is too close. But for a great movie, combine all 3 and edit together a multi-angle film. One note is that the best setting on my GoPro Hero 3 is 960p, as 1080 and 720 both crop off to much and end up clipping out the board and half my head. 960p though is perfect. If you then use GoPro Studio 2.0 to edit the video, and use the "4x3 to wide" special effect, you'll get a great widescreen video without cropping off your head and feet. Give it a go and see what I mean. Try out all 3 settings, and see what you prefer. The vital part is the use of that "4x3 to wide" setting, as 960p is not a widescreen format. Without selecting that setting, GoPro Studio will automatically crop the shot instead.

Works with GoPro Hero 5 Black
Got into the Kitesurfing fever and wanted to show off... well this works hehe.I wipe quite a bit since I'm just starting, so I have full confidence on this product, as my camera is still alive and not at the bottom of the sea.

It's Okay...
This thing couldn't get any cheaper, but it is what it is and it's the "only" one out there.Did a couple test runs and the mount slid down the strings no matter what we did. The "gummies" didn't hold it whatsoever. Haven't figured out how to force it to work yet.If I would have been in state and able to return it, I probably would have.Someone else may like it though, this was just me.Shipping was fast and just fine though, nothing bad to say about the seller at all.I can't believe this thing costs $50, should cost $20 but oh well.

Doesn't work as well as 25 cents worth of Spectra.
Constricts the lines of the kite. Produces terrible shaky video. You are better off mounting your GoPro with 25 cents worth of Spectra.

Missing plug.
Looks like a great product. Unfortunatley only 3 plugs came with the product when 4 ate needed to properly secure the mount. Unless my package came defective I will need to buy a new set of plugs for an extra $10 usd.

Perfect mount for kiteboarding
Works great and you get footage of yourself kiting from an awesome angle. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that I think the price is a bit high.Btw, there is a great instructional video on how to mount it from kiteboarding.com:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KFWxQ6AcgfA

Worked well with my Cabrinha gear.
Worked well with my Cabrinha gear. Mounted on my center lines just above the trim system and it was just far enough out for the perfect shot and had nowhere to slide since the trim controls prevent it from slipping any closer. You'll want to drop the footage in your favorite editing program and do some rotation adjustments because the camera rotates with the kite.

Son-in-law loves it
This was a gift for my son-in-law who lives in Hawaii and kitesurfs when the winds are good. He says this is just the thing (coupled with the strut mount that I also gave him) for him to get some awesome shots of his fun out on the water. Just what us folks stuck in the winter cold need to see right now. :-)
