Greenworks Charger 40 V - G40C

I purchased 2 of these batteries while they were on a special discounted price and a Greenworks G40UC4 40V Fast Charger. The reason I bought 2 batteries was to allow me to charge a battery while using the other. The batteries recharge fully using the fast charger in under 30 minutes while a larger 4ah would take 60 minutes but last longer and was more than twice the price. You do need to bare in mind that once the battery has been used it will not charge straight away as the charger recognises high temperature. The battery can be placed on the charger and the built in fan cools the battery in 15 mins before recharge starts. My only slight complaint is the time it takes the batteries to run out of charge. I also purchased the GD40LM46SP 40V Lawn Mower 46cm Self-Propelled on a special price from Amazon and the battery lasts 15 minutes if I cut and use the self drive. The mower by the way is brilliant (see my other review). I have a large sloping uneven garden so really I should have bought 3 batteries or a larger AH rated battery but that was costly. All in all a great system that I would highly recommend.

A well made battery that is consistent in output. I would however have liked to be able to purchase the 4Ahr. model since using it with my strimmer blade it only lasts for a few minutes. These are seemingly a little scarce at the moment, it means that for me to get 4Ahrs. I have to purchase two batteries so the cost jumps up considerably. Still with that said, the heat build up in them is less, and I suppose that will lead to a longer life span for the 2Ahrs. type. I did have a so called 5Ahr. copy of the battery that performed perfectly for three or four discharge and recharge cycles, then it died, shorted cell or cells internally, can I get a replacement no chance. In conclusion do not buy copies, they are rubbish and you have no actual warranty with them since to send the back to the supplier is at your cost and they then tell you that you have abused the battery. Stick to the real thing, you can be sure that the warranty is real, in the unlikely chance that you need it.

A must have if you've multiple Greenworks batteries and need to constantly rotate them when working in the garden. Takes about 45 minutes or so to charge up the 40v battery. The main criticism I have is around battery cooldown. It often treats freshly drained batteries as too hot to charge, but the fan on the device doesn't cool the batteries down particularly fast, so it can take a little while for the charger to actually begin on hotter summer days. Overall though it's been a great addition to the Greenworks arsenal and helped greatly in getting my grass cut without needing to stop and wait for the standard charger.

Charges pretty quickly and holds it. Using it on a hedge cutter and lasts well cutting through some dense foliage. Also fits the Greenworks chainsaw and a few other tools.

Find these batteries to be vebry. Also find them to be very good value.

Reasonably good price. I use 2ah battery with my Greenworks cordless pressure washer which lasts for 8 minutes. However, the water flow lasts for 4 minutes when used non-stop. I have 6 of these batteries and this lasts for 48 minutes which is more than enough to clean 2 cars at once. The battery does get intensively hot after use, so best to put it in a cool place as it won't charge unless the heat reduces.

Previous charger failed unfortunately, so sent it back to Amazon for replacement which they did so without question , the new charger is working ok ! Happy gardener !

I have received three chargers now and none of them have worked. Amazon pass me on to the manufacturer for support, they refer me back to Amazon.

Fonctionne bien, ras, si ce n'est le prix prohibitif des batteries.

Achetée pour faire face à mes 900m2 de terrain en supplément de l'autre batterie 4Ah fournie avec ma tondeuse Greenworks G40LM41K4. Je peux jongler avec les 2 et traiter tout le terrain en une fois, à condition de tondre régulièrement, surtout au printemps.
