Best Gritty Soap on the Market
The smell is very masculine, and the grit is truly refreshing. I am 2/3 way thru with my first bar and it has not lost any of its grittiness. Still feels like a fresh bar of soap. I will be purchasing a larger pack of these. Yes, it hurts but in a good way.

Best soap out there
Fantastic soap, smells, texture, natural, only problem is it doesn’t last long, so don’t run it under the water. Use it efficiently and put it away.

Cost versus longevity.
I've heard about Dr. Squatch from a few friends, so I decided to use a gift card and bought a few of these bars. They're NOTHING like the usual soap bar that leaves you feeling like you have a film over your skin! They lather very well and have some grit to help with cleaning. The scent is a nice surprise, only wish it would last longer. One bar will last around a week of usage for me. I think it's a little costly for one bar of soap. On the other side of that - it is the BEST soap bar I've ever used to make me smell that good and truly feel clean after a hard day's work.

Love love love!!
Having not bought Dr. Squache brand soap before it was a little difficult knowing if we would like this. Upon getting my package I could already smell it and it smelt amazing! The pine tar has a super fresh earthy woody smell and the oatmeal and sand gives you a nice exfoliating feeling. My skin feels smooth and hydrated after using this soap, the only downside is the black color of this definitely gets messy in the shower. Overall a great product though!

Not What I Expected, but it's still good
I finally caved in and bought this after seeing ad upon ad and video upon video of this soap bar, and a plethora of compliments on this soap bar. I think this Pine Tar scent is overplayed. I first got it and from the commercials; "The garden of Eden" and a girl mentioning she was staying for breakfast from the way it smelled on the commercial had me thinking "okay, this is going to smell really good".First thoughts:It does smell pretty good, however it did remind me of a grandpa cologne at first but I quickly shook that thought from my mind. I was also hoping that this bar of soap will last pretty long and that I won't have to buy another bar next week for $10.Initial Use:This bar is pretty abrasive but tolerable like taking salt in your hand and rubbing it on your skin (weird analogy right?) Anyways, I was not able to get it to lather up very well at all like in the commercial, barely any lather. It did turn the water black a little bit and left some black residue on me during passes (it rinsed off, so I am not concerned about it). My skin does feel refreshed and softer from the exfoliation caused by the bar.In conjunction with this soap bar, I also bought the Anwenk wooden soap holder thing for $6 to lay the Pine Tar bar on top of after rinsing it to help it last longer. Will update on occasion for how long it lasts.UPDATE 7/11/19:The picture shows 16 days worth of the bar of soap with no more than 30 seconds of lather for use. I rinse it, shake the water off and set it on the wooden thing. It smells and feel really nice, but $20 a month for a bar or soap is pretty expensive.

WTF....Excellent.
OK, so this is just insane soap. Smells really good but key is to rinse quickly and not stay in the water after using or the great smell will run off. The soap lathers like if you installed a water softener on a hard water line so it is worth the buy for that part. At the price I think it is on the high side but it is good soap without the harsh stuff so you pretty much paying for the high life. Remember that you must rinse off quickly and not camp out on the shower or the smell will seriously run off, no bs. I did use it only one time so I wanted to test it but normally that should be enough to keep you smelling good but because I stayed in the shower with running water at 120 degrees maybe the smell ran off my pores hahaha.... I was told that this soap is being mass produced so that could be it but because I dont use this and this is my first time I can't really say its crap soap. Im a first time buyer and I think this is more of a $5 soap because the smell is not close to your commercial ad. I give it a 7 out of 10, but I will not buy again only for the fact that the hype was that it smelled good, the problem is it was for like 2 minutes..... Have to say dirt smells better longer.....lol
