The doilies are pretty and sturdy. They are a heavier cotton, not sheer. Perfect for what I need. I only needed 3, so I have spares.

Nicer than I expected
I wasn't sure what to expect after reading some of the reviews BUT I am very pleased and will be ordering more. These are VERY pretty. I expected them to be thin but they are a very nice thick doily. I purchased white and what I got exceeds what I expected. Highly recommend.Update: I placed a second order for these and just decided to place a third order. VERY happy with these. Size is perfect. Thickness if perfect. Quality is perfect. Very happy.
