Quick primer to important topic
A short book with big impact. I’m grateful and personally challenged by this introduction to an important topic. If you’re curious to the “why” of adoption, from the point of view of Joseph, the father of Jesus, then this is a great option!

An excellent and stirring read
Russell Moore very succinctly lays out the biblical case for Christians and the church to engage in adoption. This short book (I read it over my lunch break at work) is quite powerful in it's call for Christians to adopt or support others in adoption. This further invigorates a calling that I believe God placed on both my heart and my wife's heart to adopt unwanted children, before we even met. Pastors and church elders should encourage their churches to read through this short but convincing book to encourage adoption and support of adoption and single parents. What better way is there for the church and Christians to model God's oven adoption of us into His family than through adoption of unwanted or at risk children the world over?

This is a great, short book on adoption from the example of ...
This is a great, short book on adoption from the example of the adoptive father Joseph. I have listened to the audio of Moore's larger book Adopted for Life, and this echoes it fully. I would recommend both books. This shorter volume has some great zingers that will either feel like a punch to the kidneys out of conviction or a spur to your side to go do this thing called life.

Excellent and convicting
All Christians are called to love orphans and, more generally, "the least of these." In this short book, Moore explains in friendly, readable, but deadly serious terms what that looks like for our churches and for individual believers. Even if you feel no calling to adopt a child yourself, this book is a must-read if you call yourself a follower of Christ.

Good Paraphrase of a Definitive Adoption Resource
Most important thing to note is that this is a paraphrase / distillation of "Adopted for Life". In my ignorance, I expected something brand new... but either way this acted as a great refresher, and a much easier intro to give others during our adoption journey (instead of sending them the whole adopted for life book).

Hello From The Other Side
An excellent piece of writing to give us a glimpse from the other side of the manger. With so much attention on Mary, Moore takes us to the other side of the manger to experience the Gospel message. Joseph quietly and humbly teaches us the Gospel message through his actions. Joseph certainly knew what a pure and undefiled religion looked like. This book is a must read for anyone who calls themselves a child of God.

Every Christian Should Read This Book
Great biblical perspective on adoption and even how it looks to evangelize. There isn't a romanticizing of adoption or even a lot of stories, it is more speaking to answering the call of Christ and being obedient to his commands.

An eye opener
A really good read about one of the lesser known main characters of our Lord's childhood and upbringing. As a new step-dad, it has given me plenty of thought into my own life with my two new sons.

Very moving!
This book was beautiful and confirmed what God has been teaching me about adoption. Its message could change our world if we would let it. My husband and I felt led to adopt a young man in prison. After ten years of fighting for our son we see how even in his weakness God is using his life. God's love makes every sacrifice a privilege. I recommend that everyone read this book.

Great call to action!
Well written and accessible book that calls us to action. This quick read will challenge your perspective on children and adoption, and ground adoption firmly in the Father love of God and the example of Jesus and His relationship to Joseph.
