Absolutely fantastic
I've never made a mould before, I've never cast from a mould before.I do, however, do a load of 3d printing. One of the modes in the 3d software I use is "mold mode" (forgive the American spelling) and in 5 years of 3d printing I;d never used that mode.A few nights ago i got messing around with mould mode and created a 3d printed mould. At this point I had no idea where to go next. I'll be honest, I searched Amazon for the best price per kilo and that lead me to this product. Before even reading the full reviews I decided to take the gamble and bought 1kg.Order arrived a few days early, which I was pleased with. 5 minutes after opening the parcel and half reading the bumf that comes with it I realised I needed a release agent, Co-op's own brand furniture polish, 2 quick squirts into the mould and if it works it works if it doesn't it doesn't, right?I mixed the 2 parts, poured, waited 8 hours or so, then opened the mould. Co-op furniture polish FOR THE WIN!!!I realise most folk buy this product to make moulds but not cast with it, WHY?Only complaint, I had no idea what colour it was going to be, that's in no way important, but it would have been nice to see " Brilliant White" on the label or description somewhere. All in all I'm chuffed as hell, it did exactly what I wanted of it and it's given me the confidence to start making far more moulds to save time. To expand on that last point, to make 1 mould took 48 hours, to have printed the object it would have taken 15 to 18 hours. Now I only need 1 mould per item and 8 hours or so of cure time per item, which leaves the printers free to get on with other projects.

great customer service
after a rocky start of only receiving a 3rd of the order i dealt with customer service. they were great and sent the rest of the goods within a day. you can tell the mark of a business with how they deal with complaints and problems. these were very good and would not hesitate to use again. we have been using this silicone for years but first time bought here and i would definitely use again without hesitation.

good but messy
i was casting a product with a fair bit of detail to it, the silicone worked perfect getting all the detail and without any air bubbles. it doesnt have much odour to it either the only thing i would say is dont get it on your skin at all really difficult to get off so i recommend long gloves not the standard short ones

Way too thick so does not mix or pour
This product could not be mixed with the catalyst as it was too thick to mix in a second product; it also was to gluggy to pour and so could not make a descent mold; furthermore because the silicon product and catalyst could not mix it did not set and ruined my hand sculpted product. Having no product instruction was frustrating also. Does not deserve a one star, but I could put less.

Good product if using along side a SLA 3d printer
Tried this with 3d printed parts to re cast with epoxy resin as this product has "tin" catalyst

Works well, but seems expensive for what it is?!?
Works well, but seems expensive for what you get. That being said my experience of buy silicone is nill.Seems like the washing up bowl and the tubes would do the same for less... maybe?!?
