Awesome Ground Sheet
The media could not be loaded. This little ground sheet is awesome, and a must have for travelers, beach goers, and survivalists alike. It comes neatly packed in a small pouch slightly larger than a deck of cards. Follow the lines sewn into the sheet and you can easily refold it and fit it back in. It's fairly rugged and has held up great during a trip to Ecuador. I also used it on the beach, but don't expect the small washers sewn into the edges to prevent it from blowing away. They are far too light, so I simply put a few items on it to hold it down. It was a little difficult to refold in the wind, but that's to be expected with all the more it weighs. It's a bit too thin to provide ample insulation to be used as a blanket for a cold night, but worked great as a light sheet to use in the jungle where a sheet almost wasn't needed, but was nice to have for comfort. To the manufacturer- I might consider adding grommets of some sort so it could be staked to the ground, or tied up as a tent/lean to. Awesome purchase that gets my seal of approval.

Great bang for buck but not truly water resistent
I was torn between giving this a 4/5 vs a 5/5 and ultimately the price for weight won me over. A few thoughts. I actually cut out the metal disks that are sewn into the corners to save weight; I have plenty of items I carry with me that i can use to weigh down the corners and I was able to lower the weight of this product even further, down to 4.8 ounces (see photos). The other thing I would comment on is the water resistance; I turned it into a pouch and poured water into it as a sort of field test. Two notes; first of all water leaked through the holes where they stitched the colored lines they use to help fold the blanket. So that sort of kills whatever waterproof/resistant thing the blanket may have had going for it. Additionally, though water did NOT leak through the opposite side did begin to get damp after only a few seconds. So I would say this is a sort of water resistant product. Probably not waterproof enough to use as a shelter but maybe enough if you were in a pinch and had no better option.

Light, portable ground sheet
I was looking for something light and compact to carry on walks, picnics, and other adventures when you never know when you're going to end up sitting on the ground, but you don't want a wet butt, grass stains, or sandy trousers. This fit the bill perfectly! It's larger than most other ground sheets but still compact enough to stuff in a pocket or throw in a bag without adding any extra weight. The only downside is the dark color-- on very hot and sunny days, the dark grey to black fabric definitely absorbs the heat, and can be a bit hot to the touch, which isn't comfortable on bare skin. I wish there were other fabric color options so as to avoid this issue.

A True Gem of a Product
One of the best products I purchased for our cyclo-camping trip. This blanket was awesome. When I first opened the product up, I thought that I had been ripped off. It was light and looked cheap. But, in the field, this thing was a performer. It is nearly rip proof, and we used it about every way it could be used. Even though it feels light, it holds in warmth when used as a blanket. I even used it when we rented a hotel room. It tends to keep your body temperature even without creating "hotspots" like other blankets do. What looked like a purchase mistake, ended up being a real gem. Folds up easily and goes right back in its little package without any trouble. On cold nights, when my zero degree sleeping bag was too warm, this little blanket did its job and kept me perfectly snuggled.

it is has feel of a plastic trash bag so it's not really comfortable to lie on
This blanket met my needs for a lightweigh ground cloth to take when I hike with my dogs. It's very light and surprisingly big. However, it is has feel of a plastic trash bag so it's not really comfortable to lie on. It kept the bugs and twigs away when I sat on it, however, so it's good enough. If you fold carefully and follow the lines printed on it, you can fold it back into its pouch, which is a stretchy knit. Black is not an ideal color because it gets hot. If I took it to the beach, I would be sure to have a towel or blanket to put on top.

Worth having for the carrying weight
I bought this to have a light weight ground cover while on the AT. I was surprised by how light weight it was for its size. I was also skeptical about its ability to hold up because it was so thin. Well after 7 days on the AT and some rough ground, it held up great and did a very good job of keeping me separated from the dirt. It had no holes or tears in it at the end of the trip. Be aware the fabric is a slippery material that makes it water resistant if not water proof. It was great to have it on the trip for the weight to carry. The sewn in folding guide really works, unfortunately, I lost the storage bag on day one!!

great product hilarious emails from the company!
The blanket is pretty cool! and i have always managed to get it back in its little pouch which is a miracle because usually they never fit back in! its waterproof and big enough for 2 to have a picnic on. If you have a dog this would work well - wipe clean. basically does everything it says it does i cant compare to others but its 100% easier to put in my purse rather than carry a picnic blanket aroundbut really i have loved reliable outdoor gear mostl because of their amazing hilarious emails! i want to but more stuff for this reason alone!THANKS and i miss you too Frank <3 haha

The material is good quality. I didn't give it 5 stars because ...
I used this on the floor of a 2 man tent on a backpacking trip. It didn't reach the very edges of the tent, but almost. It covered the space under two sleeping bags which is what I was looking for. The material is good quality. I didn't give it 5 stars because like other reviewers mentioned, you will never get it back in the package again once opened.

Living the dream!
I’m sitting here smiling, while I decide what to write about this product without it sounding like I have some vested interest in the seller! (I don’t) I’ve been wild camping for about 25 years and I’m always on the lookout for some new kit. This weekend I’m taking my son on his first wild camping trip in Wales. Now, because its summertime and Wales it will be tipping it down so I though I’d grab a lightweight ground sheet to go under the tarp (the luxury!) This beauty folds out larger than I expected and seems very tough for its weight but the killer feature are the fold lines! THE FOLD LINES!! Where have you been all my life!? I have so much lightweight equipment that looks great stored in tiny pouches, but when it comes to packing it away I want to scream. (Exped down roll mats, I’m looking at you!) I unpacked this little ground sheet and folded it away exactly how it arrived, in seconds! I’m Living the dream! Thank you!

Very compact but fits a whole family
Really does pack down small - about the size of a pack of cards, and opens large enough for two adults and two younger kids, which is a huge improvement on lugging an extra bag just for the old style picnic blanket about. Of course the trade off is that the material is thin, so don't expect much protection from sharp rocks or thorns, but it is great on damp grass or sand and to keep food and clothes clean.Lost a star as the corner weights are just M6 washers which are really pointless as they add a tiny amount of weight and don't do anything to stop the sheet blowing away in a gentle breeze - it would be better having eyelets to peg it down or even tie it up as a sun shade.I haven't used this to bivy yet, but I reckon it would be fine for occasional use in mild weather - more serious stuff needs more water resistance.

Small fold size makes it worth the money
Used many many times.Just one small pin/thorne hole.Excellent for picnic blanket, for sitting on wet ground/seats ,for rain cover/cape etc.Really does fold small enough to fit in pocket so always ready for use, perfect EDC.If folding small isn't important look elsewhere.Expensive but worth it, will buy again if I ever lose it.

Small and always with me
This item now lives in a side pocket of my backpack and we never forget blanket when we go out. It is very thin and therefore takes very little spaceHowever, the weights in the corners do not hold it down when some gusts hit us on the beachStill, you need to compromise on something and it is better to have it all the time than having something more comfortable, but never when you need it

iIt fits into the tiniest pouch ever but opens out into a very useful waterproof square
I bought this for camping trips. iIt fits into the tiniest pouch ever but opens out into a very useful waterproof square. Loads of different uses including extending a canopy over a tent door when its wet. Great little item for gardening/camping.
